Monofader
Monofader is a future pop/synthpop duo from Norway, fronted by Richard Bjørklund (from the band Spektralized), and Sebastian Komor (from the band Icon of Coil). Their music has been described as a cross between Depeche Mode and Erasure. History In 2001, Bjørklund and Komor began working on a collaboration, that would eventually become the song "Solid Ground (v.2.0)". Calling themselves Off:Tribe, "Solid Ground (v.2.0)" was included on Tatra Record's 2002 compilation album, ''Serial Killer Electronics''. Soon after, they released a six-song demo, and it was sent it to several labels, radio stations and DJs, where it received positive feedback from listeners. However, due to obligations to their respective bands, they could not finish their first album for another two years. Sebastian Komor
Sebastian R. Komor (born 7 May 1976) is a Polish-born, Norwegian-raised electronic musician, best known for his collaborative work in Icon of Coil and Zombie Girl. A prolific artist, Komor has also released electronic music under a variety of solo projects and aliases since the late 1990s. Biography Sebastian Komor was born in Zabrze, Poland, in 1976 and moved to Norway in 1981, where he would remain for over twenty years. He first acquired a keyboard in his late teens and released his first music demo in 1992. Throughout the mid-to late-90s, Komor created music in Fredrikstad, where an EBM/industrial scene was flourishing under the influence of local bands such as Apoptygma Berzerk. Electronic body music (acronymized to EBM) is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of industrial music and synth-punk with elements of disco and dance music. Icon of Coil is a Norwegian electronic music band. The band was established as a solo project in 1997 by Andy LaPlegua who was joined by former Sector 9 (now Moonitor and Zombie Girl) bandmate Sebastian Komor to perform live. With the release of ''Shallow Nation'', the band's first single, Komor joined full-time. In 2000, Christian Lund joined the live lineup. Later that year the band's first full-length album, '' Serenity is the Devil'', was released, which climbed to number one on the Deutsche Alternative Charts. Depeche Mode are an English electronic music band formed in Basildon, Essex, in 1980. The band currently consists of Dave Gahan (lead vocals and co-songwriting) and Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, co-lead vocals and main songwriting). Erasure () is an English synth-pop duo formed in London in 1985, consisting of lead vocalist and songwriter Andy Bell with songwriter, producer and keyboardist Vince Clarke, previously known as co-founder of the band Depeche Mode and a member of synth-pop duo Yazoo. From their fourth single, " Sometimes" (1986), Erasure established themselves on the UK Singles Chart, becoming one of the most successful acts of the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s.
