The is a railway line operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West) connecting Osaka and Fukuchiyama, Kyoto, Fukuchiyama, Japan. Kitakinki Tango Railway
was a rail transport, railway operator in Japan. The company's name, which consists of "Kitakinki" meaning northern Kansai region, Kinki region and "Tango" meaning Tango Province, is occasionally abbreviated as KTR. KTR was a so-called "third sector" company jointly funded by local governments and private entities. Its leading shareholder is the Kyoto Prefecture government with a 44.71% ownership. The was a Japanese limited express electric multiple unit (EMU) train type introduced in 1972 by Japanese National Railways (JNR). Following the privatization of JNR, the 183 series was operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and West Japan Railway Company (JR-West).
