Monika Hojnisz-Staręga
Monika Hojnisz (born 27 August 1991), now Monika Hojnisz-Staręga, is a Polish biathlete. She competes in the Biathlon World Cup. Hojnisz won a bronze medal at the Biathlon World Championships 2013 (12.5 km mass start). In December 2018 she scored her best World Cup finish, taking second place in the 15 km individual at the Pokljuka round of the World Cup. She finished sixth in the 15 km individual at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. She married Polish cross-county skier Maciej Staręga in June 2019. Biathlon World Championships 2019
The Biathlon World Championships 2019 took place in Östersund, Sweden, from 6 to 17 March 2019. There were a total of 12 competitions: sprint, pursuit, individual, mass start, and relay races for men and women, and two mixed relay races. The single mixed relay was on the program of the World Championships for the first time. All the events during this championships also counted for the 2018–19 Biathlon World Cup season. Host selection On 7 September 2014, Östersund won the voting (27 votes) in St. Wolfgang, Austria over Antholz, Italy (16 votes), Nové Město na Moravě, Czech Republic (4 votes) and Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia (2 votes). The 44th Biathlon World Championships was held in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia from March 3–13, 2011. There was a total of 11 competitions: sprint, pursuit, individual, mass start, and relay races for men and women, and mixed relay. Biathlon At The 2022 Winter Olympics
Biathlon at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held at the National Biathlon Centre, in the Zhangjiakou cluster of competition venues, north of Beijing, at an elevation of , from 5 to 18 February 2022. A total of 210 quota spots (110 per gender) were distributed to the sport, a decline of 20 from the 2018 Winter Olympics. Maciej Staręga (born 31 January 1990, in Siedlce) is a Polish cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skier. He competed at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme, the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, in Cross-country skiing at the 2014 Winter Olympics – Men's 15 kilometre classical, 15 kilometre classical and Cross-country skiing at the 2014 Winter Olympics – Men's 4 × 10 kilometre relay, 4 × 10 kilometre relay and the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
