Damien Monier (born 27 August 1982) is a French former professional road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional from 2004 to 2022. Career Monier was born in Clermont-Ferrand, and became a professional rider in 2004. After seven years with the team, he won his first race, the 17th stage of the 2010 Giro d'Italia from Bruneck to Peio. In January 2012, he was hit by a car while training in France, knocking him unconscious and fracturing his skull. In November 2012, he signed to ride the 2013 season with the Japanese team . Sir Monier Monier-Williams (; né Williams; 12 November 1819 – 11 April 1899) was a British scholar who was the second Boden Professor of Sanskrit at University of Oxford, Oxford University, England. He studied, documented and taught Languages of Asia, Asian languages, especially Sanskrit, Persian language, Persian and Hindustani language, Hindustani. Early life Monier Williams was born in Mombai, Bombay, the son of Colonel Monier Williams, Surveyor general, surveyor-general in the Bombay presidency. His surname was "Williams" until 1887, when he added his given name to his surname to create the hyphenated "Monier-Williams". Coaches Stadium at Monier Field is a baseball venue in Charleston, Illinois, United States. It is home to the Eastern Illinois Panthers baseball team of the NCAA Division I Ohio Valley Conference. It has a capacity of 500 spectators. Eastern Illinois' baseball program has used the field since its 1982 move to Division I. Originally known simply as Monier Field, the facility was renamed after 2002 renovations, which added chairback seating, a press box, a sprinkler system, brick dugouts, and concessions. Sébastien Monier (born 15 June 1984, in Lomme) is a French-born footballer of Mauritian descent who currently plays for Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz in the Belgian Third Division. Career Monier began training as a youth at the Centre de Préformation in Liévin in 1997. Two years later, he moved to AJ Auxerre, playing for their various youth teams. During his time there, he did not make an appearance for the senior side. After 5 seasons, he decided to go a different route, signing with SR Delémont in Switzerland. 3 seasons later he moved to Ethnikos Piraeus F.C. in Greece. Pierre Monier
Pierre Monier or Mosnier (17 May 1641 – 29 December 1703) was a French painter. Mosnier was born in Blois. His father Jean Monier was also painter, and was his first teacher. In 1664 he won the inaugural Prix de Rome for his painting ''la Conquête de la Toison d’Or'' (the Conquest of the Golden Fleece). In 1665 he traveled to Rome to continue his studies at the School of Rome. He moved back and took up residence in Paris, where he fulfilled a number of commissions, primarily religious-themed works for churches, such as for the Saint-Sulpice, Paris. Mosnier later taught at the Académie de peinture et de sculpture. In 1698 he wrote and published a series of three books on art: ''History of the Arts associated with Drawing''. Louis Monier (born March 21, 1956) was a cofounder of the Internet search engine AltaVista together with Paul Flaherty and Michael Burrows. After he left AltaVista, he worked at eBay and then at Google. He left Google in August 2007 to join Cuil, a search engine startup. He was Vice President of Products at Cuil. One month after the launch, he left Cuil, citing differences with the CEO. He also was the co-founder and CTO of Qwiki with Doug Imbruce. Qwiki won the TechCrunch Disrupt Award in 2010 and was sold to Yahoo in 2013. In 2014, Yahoo shuttered Qwiki. Étienne Monier
Étienne Monier (20 April 1889 – 21 April 1913), also known as Élie Monier and nicknamed Simentoff, was a French anarchist and member of the infamous Bonnot Gang. Life Étienne Monier was born into a family of winegrowers in Estagel, in Pyrénées-Orientales, a small town with a strong anarchist tradition since the local population resisted Napoléon III taking power in 1851. Monier started by learning to become a gardener and a florist, before deciding to move to Paris in 1909. At the end of 1910, refusing to fulfill his military service, he was forced to flee abroad. To be able to come back in France, he used the papers of an anarchist friend, Samuelis Simentoff, born in 1887 in Turkey. Back in Paris, he met Victor Serge and Rirette Maîtrejean and, later, Jules Bonnot, leading him to become a member of the Bonnot Gang.
