"Money on My Mind" is a song by English singer Sam Smith, and the second single from their debut studio album, ''In the Lonely Hour'' (2014). The song was released in Italy on 27 December 2013. It was later released in the UK on 12 February 2014 and in Germany on 16 February 2014. The song peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart and number 4 on the Irish Singles Chart. The song also charted in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. Samuel Frederick Smith (born 19 May 1992) is an English singer and songwriter. After rising to prominence in October 2012 by featuring on Disclosure's breakthrough single "Latch", which peaked at number eleven on the UK Singles Chart, they were subsequently featured on Naughty Boy's " La La La", which became a number one single in May 2013. Jamie Thraves (born James Thraves, 2 June 1969 in Romford, London) is a British film writer and director. Biography Thraves began making early short experimental films in 1989 at the University of Humberside, having previously studied illustration. His graduation film ''Scratch'' (1991) and ''The Take-Out'' (1993), a short film made under the BFI New Directors scheme, both went on to win awards at film festivals worldwide. He joined the Royal College of Art in 1993 where he made another award-winning film, ''The Hackney Downs'' (1995). He is known for combining R&B with 90's house music and he had a monthly radio show called Le Youth's Friday Night House Party on Capital Xtra.
