Monetary Policy Council
The Monetary Policy Council, Polish language, Polish: Rada Polityki Pieniężnej (RPP), is a body of Narodowy Bank Polski, the central bank of Poland. Each year, in parallel with the budget project presented by the government, the MPC sets the bases of monetary policy. It sets the level of the NBP's interest rates, the rules and levels of bank's reserve obligations, sets an upper limit on obligations resulting from loans taken by the NBP in foreign banking and financial institutions. The MPC is made up of: Council Leader, who is the President of the NBP, and nine other members, selected in equal parts by the President of Poland, the Sejm and the Senate of Poland, Senate. Members of the MPC are chosen to serve for six-year terms. Dariusz Rosati
Dariusz Kajetan Rosati (born 8 August 1946 as Gaetano Dario Rosati) is a Polish professor of economics and a politician who served as a member of the European Parliament from 2004–2019, and subsequently as a deputy of the Sejm since 2019. Biography Academic Dariusz Rosati graduated from the Faculty of International Trade at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics in 1969 and immediately afterwards started working there as an assistant. Marek Belka
Marek Marian Belka (; born 9 January 1952 in Lódź) is a Polish professor of economics and politician who has served as Prime Minister of Poland and Finance Minister of Poland in two governments. He is a former Director of the International Monetary Fund's (IMF) European Department and former Head of Narodowy Bank Polski (''National Bank of Poland''). He has served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since July 2019. Andrzej Sławiński (born July 31, 1951 in Warsaw) is a Polish economist and Professor of Economics at the Warsaw School of Economics. Sławomir Stanisław Skrzypek (10 May 1963 – 10 April 2010) was the President of the National Bank of Poland (NBP) from 2007 until his death in 2010. He died in the 2010 Polish Air Force Tu-154 crash, when a plane transporting a number of Polish notables, including the President of Poland Lech Kaczynski, crashed en route to a ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Katyń massacre.
