Monagallaku Monagadu
''Monagallaku Monagadu'' () is a 1966 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film directed by S. D. Lal and produced by Rama Sundaram. It is a remake of the Hindi film '' Ustadon Ke Ustad'' (1963) and its Tamil version ''Vallavanukku Vallavan'' (1965). The film stars S. V. Ranga Rao, Haranath, Prabhakara Reddy, Raavi Kondala Rao, Krishna Kumari and G. Rathna. It was released on 14 January 1966, and became a commercial success. Plot Ramesh, an engineer, impresses Madhava Rao, a businessman, with his plan to build a factory. Madhava Rao's daughter Geetha falls in love with Ramesh. Partners in crime Bhujangam and Mala loot a bank. With some of the looted money, Mala travels in a bus in which Ramesh also happens to be seated. Their suitcases get interchanged, and Ramesh, now suspected of committing the bank robbery, is arrested. ''Ustadon Ke Ustad'' () is 1963 Hindi film starring Pradeep Kumar and Shakila in the lead roles. The film was remade in Tamil as ''Vallavanukku Vallavan'' (1965), in Telugu as ''Monagallaku Monagadu'' (1966) and in Kannada as ''Bhale Bhaskar'' (1971). Plot An impoverished engineer, Pradeep Kumar, "Dipak", falls in love with a wealthy woman. He eventually gets suspected to be a bank robber. Whilst in the police cell, he is met with dacoit "Mangal Singh", a known thief, who helps to plan their escape from a dodgy window to hand Dipak to a violent gang for Rs5000. However, Dipak explains after his escape to Mangal, that he is in trouble with the police and a vindictive gang of thieves who are trying to kill him because he had identified Helen, the dancing queen who stole a massive amount of cash in a briefcase. Chalam (actor)
Chalam (born Simhachalam Korada) (18 May 1929 - 4 May 1989) was an Indian film actor, and producer known for his works primarily in Telugu cinema, and Telugu theatre. In 1971 he produced and acted in ''Mattilo Manikyam'' which won the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 19th National Film Awards. In a film career spanning 30 years, Chalam was starred in about 150 films in a variety of roles. Personal life Chalam married Ramanakumari, and changed his name to Ramana Chalam. They have 3 children. Ramana Kumari died in 1964 in a fire accident. Chalam later married, to Urvasi Sharada, his co-star in her debut film, ''Tandrulu Kodukulu'' in 1972. They later divorced in 1984. Death Chalam died on 4 May 1989. Due to alcohol addication.in his final days he also suffered from depression. Madhavapeddi Satyam (11 March 1922 – 18 December 2000) was an Indian playback singer and actor who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He entered films as a singer-actor in Y. V. Rao's Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ''Ramadas'' in the year 1946, playing the role of Kabir. However, he became more popular as a playback singer due to his booming voice. His voice suited artists like S. V. Ranga Rao, Relangi and Ramana Reddy. He also sang for others like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, N.T. Rama Rao, Jaggayya and Padmanabham.
