The ''Monadnock Ledger-Transcript'' is a twice-weekly newspaper based in Peterborough, New Hampshire, Peterborough, New Hampshire, and covering the Monadnock Region. It was formed in September 2006, when the 50-year-old ''Monadnock Ledger'' bought the 150-year-old ''Peterborough Transcript''. Both newspapers had published once a week. As of 2021, the ''Ledger-Transcript'' publishes print editions two days a week with a continuously updated website. Monadnock Region
The Monadnock Region is a region in southwestern New Hampshire. It is named after Mount Monadnock, a 3,165 foot isolated mountain, which is the dominant geographic landmark in the region. Although it has no specific borders, the Monadnock Region is generally thought of comprising all of Cheshire County, New Hampshire, Cheshire County and the western portion of Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, Hillsborough County.
