Molemen (producers)
Molemen is an American hip hop record production team from Chicago, Illinois. It consists of Panik, Memo, and PNS. The group organized Chicago Rocks, an annual hip hop showcase. History In 1997, Molemen released an EP, ''Below the Ground''. It was compiled with another EP, ''Buried Alive'', on a 2000 compilation album, ''Below the Ground/Buried Alive''. In 2001, the group released a studio album, ''Ritual of the Molemen''. It includes guest appearances from Juice, Rhymefest, Vakill, C-Rayz Walz, Rasco, Slug, Aesop Rock, and MF Doom Daniel Dumile ( ; July 13, 1971October 31, 2020), best known by his stage name MF Doom or simply Doom (both stylized in all caps), was a British-American rapper and record producer. Waleed Shabazz (born August 3, 1975), better known by his stage name C-Rayz Walz, is an American rapper from the Bronx, New York. He has been a member of the collective Stronghold. Early life Waleed Shabazz was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. His father was a drug kingpin. When he was 2 years old, his father was murdered. He grew up listening to DJ Kool Herc, who is credited with originating hip hop music. In this environment, he developed a love of music and began freestyling with his friends for fun. In school, he had rap battles in the lunch room with his childhood friend Prodigy. Personal life Currently Waleed Shabazz is incarcerated awaiting trial for 32 charges including but not limited to felony rape, sodomy, strangulation, acting in a manor injurious to a child. Capital D (real name David J. Kelly), also known as Cap D, is an underground rapper and lawyer from Chicago, Illinois. He is known for his solo work, his collaboration with Tony Fields as the duo "All Natural," and for founding the label All Natural Records, on which all his music has been released. Early life and education Kelly grew up in a Catholic family on the South Side of Chicago, before his family moved to Flossmoor, where he attended Homewood-Flossmoor High School. He later attended Morehouse College (B.A., 1996) and the University of Illinois Law School. (J.D., 2004). Daniel Dumile ( ; July 13, 1971October 31, 2020), best known by his stage name MF Doom or simply Doom (both stylized in all caps), was a British-American rapper and record producer. Noted for his intricate wordplay, signature metal mask, and "supervillain" stage persona, Dumile became a major figure of underground hip hop and alternative hip hop in the 2000s. Donald Mason, also known as Vakill (Born in March 21, 1975) is an American rapper from Chicago, Illinois. Vakill is known through his association with Chicago Hip Hop collective The Molemen, and has released three studio albums. Early years Raised on the South side of Chicago on 119th Street, Vakill was involved in Hip Hop at as early as eight years old, originally focusing on the break dancing element of the culture. In the '80s, Vakill began focusing rhyming, and found inspiration from respected lyricists such as Kool G Rap, Pharoahe Monch and Nas.
