Mojtaba Taghavi
Mojtaba Taghavi ( fa, مجتبی تقوی, born February 2, 1968) is a retired Iranian football player and a current coach. He is currently technical manager at Naft Masjed Soleyman. Career After the dismissal of Saipa head coach Majid Saleh in February 2012, he was appointed as the club's head coach on 1 March 2012 and signed a contract until the end of upcoming season. On 15 May 2012, Mojtaba Taghavi agreed to extend his contract with Saipa to the end of 2012–13 season. He left the team at the end of the season after finished 9th. Abadan
Abadan ( fa, آبادان ''Ābādān'', ) is a city and capital of Abadan County, Khuzestan Province, which is located in the southwest of Iran. It lies on Abadan Island ( long, 3–19 km or 2–12 miles wide). The island is bounded in the west by the Arvand waterway and to the east by the Bahmanshir outlet of the Karun River (the Arvand Rood), from the Persian Gulf, near the Iran–Iraq border. Abadan is 140 km from the provincial capital city of Ahvaz. Etymology The earliest mention of the island of Abadan, if not the port itself, is found in works of the geographer Marcian, who renders the name "Apphadana". Earlier, the classical geographer Ptolemy notes "Apphana" as an island off the mouth of the Tigris (which is where the modern Island of Abadan is located). Majid Saleh ( fa, مجید صالح; born 11 January 1966) is a retired Iranian football player and current coach. Early life He was born on 21 May 1965 in Tehran. His father, Mahdi was an employee of SAIPA, an Iranian auto manufacturer. He is also a member of SAIPA since 1993 and is an electronics engineer and hardware engineer. Playing career Club career He started his playing career in 1983 when he played for Homa F.C. He then played for Bank Tejarat F.C. under Nasser Hejazi. In 1991, he left Bank Tejarat to play for Keshavarz F.C. Then he played for Saipa F.C. for 4 seasons and a season in loan for Pas Tehran. Then he left Saipa in 1998 and joined to Bahman F.C. in 1999. Finally, in 2001 he returned and started playing for Homa F.C. once again. He retired in June 2004.
