Mohammed Gambo
Muhammad Gambo (born 10 March 1988), also known as Muhammed, is a footballer who plays for Nigerian club Katsina United F.C. as a forward. Club career Gambo moved to his current club Kano Pillars from Buffalo F.C. in 2006 and has since been a sensation for his current club scoring over 60 goals in league and cup competitions. He was tipped to replace Ekigho Ehiosun at Turkish club Samsunspor in the August transfer window after scoring 15 goals in the Nigerian league in the 2012 season with 5 goals in the Cup. In July 2013 he was close to signing with Tunisian club, Club Africain, but contract negotiations broke down. Post 2015 his career graph dipped due to injury. Kano (city)
Kano (Ajami: كانو) is a city in northern Nigeria and the capital of Kano State. It is the second largest city in Nigeria after Lagos, with over four million citizens living within ; located in the Savanna, south of the Sahel, Kano is a major route of the trans-Saharan trade. I-League Players
The I-League (known as Hero I-League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp) is the second-tier men's professional football competition of the Indian football league system. It is currently contested by 12 clubs across the country with the winners getting promotion to play in the premier division, the Indian Super League. The competition was founded in 2007 as the successor to the National Football League, with the first season starting in November 2007. Islam is one of the largest religions in Nigeria and the country has the largest Muslim population in West Africa. 2012 Nigeria Premier League
The 2012 Nigeria Premier League is the 41st season of the competition since its inception, and the 22nd since the rebranding of the league as the "Professional League". Sixteen teams from the previous season and four teams promoted from the Nigeria National League (Akwa United, Rising Stars, Jigawa Golden Stars and Wikki Tourists) are participating in this season. The season was originally due to start November 26, 2011, less than a month after the conclusion of the previous season due to many long delays by the NFF.
