Mohammed Abduh Bakhet
Mohammed Abduh Bakhet (born 25 December 1987, Doha) is a Qatari long-distance runner. He finished eighth in the 10,000 metres at the 2006 World Junior Championships, 21st at the 2007 World Road Running Championships and did not finish the race at the 2010 World Cross Country Championships. His personal best times are 29:18.76 minutes in the 10,000 metres, achieved at the 2006 World Junior Championships in Beijing; 1:01:38 hours in the half marathon, achieved at the 2007 World Road Running Championships in Udine; and 2:12:14 hours in the marathon, achieved in January 2012 in Dubai. The men's marathon at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place on the Olympic marathon street course on 12 August, the final day of the Games. Marathon
The marathon is a long-distance foot race with a distance of , usually run as a road race, but the distance can be covered on trail routes. The marathon can be completed by running or with a run/walk strategy. There are also wheelchair divisions. 2010 IAAF World Cross Country Championships
The 2010 IAAF World Cross Country Championships were held at Myślęcinek Park in Bydgoszcz, Poland on 28 March 2010. It was the first time in over twenty years that Poland hosted the annual championships, having previously held them in Warsaw in 1987. Kenyan runners dominated the competition, taking all four individual titles and all four team titles at the competition. Kenyans took the top four spots in both junior men's and junior women's races to finish with a perfect team score. In the absence of Zersenay Tadese and Kenenisa Bekele, the senior men's race was an opportunity for less-established runners. Joseph Ebuya won the gold (his first major medal), becoming the first Kenyan to win the men's race since Paul Tergat in 1999.
