Mohammad Hossain Mondol (1935 – 19 June 2018) was a Bangladeshi agriculturist and researcher. He received the Independence Award in 2015 for his contribution to research and training. Palashbari ( bn, পলাশবাড়ী) is an upazila of Gaibandha District in the Division of Rangpur, Bangladesh. Geography Palashbari Upazila is located at . It has 41586 households and total area 190.67 km2. Gaibandha District
Gaibandha ( bn, গাইবান্ধা জেলা, ''Gaibandha Jela'' or ''Gaibandha Zila'') is a district in Northern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Rangpur Division. Gaibandha subdivision was established in 1875. Gaibandha was previously known as Bhabanigonj. The name was changed from Bhabanigonj to Gaibandha in 1875. Gaibandha was established as a district on 15 February 1984. Gaibandha is the administrative headquarter and largest urban centre of this district. Etymology There are two opinions about the name of Gaibandha. Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) ( bn, বাংলাদেশ কৃষি গবেষণা ইনস্টিটিউট) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of agriculture, that conducts research on all crops except rice, jute, sugarcane, and tea for which there are separate institutes.
