Mohamed Sadi
Mohamed B. Abdourahman Sadi (born 8 May 1995) is a Libyan basketball player who plays for Sagesse SC. He is a member of the Libya men's national basketball team. Standing at , he plays as shooting guard. In 2021, Sadi made his debut in the Basketball Africa League (BAL) with AS Douanes. Career Sadi has played for Al Ahli Tripoli and was named the Libya Division 1 Best Player in 2020 and 2021. Sadi played a short stint with Al-Nasr Benghazi in the 2021 BAL qualifying tournaments, where he averaged 12.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. He later joined Senegalese champions AS Douanes on the roster for the 2022 BAL season. In October 2022, Sadi played for Qatari club Al Sadd. In September 2023, Sadi joined Sagesse SC of the Lebanese Basketball League. 2022 BAL Season
The 2022 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 2, was the second season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The season began on 2 March 2022 and ended with the Finals on 28 May 2022. The group phase was played in the Dakar Arena in Dakar and the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in Cairo. The playoffs and finals were played in the BK Arena in Kigali for a second year in a row. Tunisian club US Monastir won the finals to win its first-ever BAL title, after defeating Angolan club Petro de Luanda in the 2022 BAL Finals. As winners, Monastir qualified for the 2023 FIBA Intercontinental Cup. Format On 9 December 2021, the BAL announced a new format for the season, with an expansion of the number of total games to 38. 2020 BAL Qualifying Tournaments
The 2020 BAL Qualifying Tournaments were the inaugural qualifying tournaments of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), the newly launched premier basketball league of Africa jointly organized by the NBA and FIBA. While the NBA will co-organise from the regular season, the qualifiers are completely organised by FIBA Africa. A total of 31 teams from 31 countries participate in the qualifying tournaments in order to determine which six teams will play in the 2020 BAL regular season, along with six directly placed six teams. The qualifying tournaments are divided into the First round and Second round, which run from 16 October until 21 December 2019. Basketball Africa League
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) is Africa's premier men's basketball league. The league consists of twelve teams, each qualified through their domestic competition, similar to the format of the UEFA Champions League. The league is a joint effort between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and International Basketball Federation (FIBA) with sponsorship from Nike, Inc., Nike, Air Jordan and Pepsi. Its 2021 BAL season, inaugural season started with the qualifying rounds in October 2019 and the regular season in May 2021. The competition replaces FIBA's Africa Basketball League as the continent's top-tier league. Lebanese Basketball League
The Lebanese Basketball League is the top-tier professional men's basketball league in Lebanon. It is organized annually as a national championship with playoffs and a national cup by the Lebanese Basketball Federation (FLB). Currently, the league consists of 12 teams, of which six are located in Beirut. The most successful club in the history of the league is Al Riyadi who have won a record 16 championships. History The initial Lebanese basketball league was formed in as early as the 1950s; however, it was stopped during the Lebanese Civil War. In 1992, the league was reformed into a fully professional format.
