Mohamed Rasheed (born 15 April 1985) is a Maldivian footballer, nicknamed "''Hokey''", who is currently playing for Masodi Sports Club. International career Mohamed made his debut in a friendly match against Thailand on February 24, 2012. 2012 AFC Challenge Cup He played all the matches in the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup for the Maldives. He used to play as a left back at the club level, but the coach István Urbányi used him as a left wing forward. As a result, he scored his first goal for the Red Snappers in the 1–0 win against Nepal on March 10, 2012. Alifushi
Alifushi (Dhivehi: އަލިފުށި) is one of the inhabited islands of Raa Atoll in the Maldives. History Powell Islands Alifushi and Etthingili were named as the Powell Islands by Captain Robert Moresby after Lieutenant F.F. Powell, who assisted during the difficult survey of the Atolls of the Maldives in 1834–36. Later promoted to captain, Powell went on to survey the northwest coast of Ceylon. István Urbányi
István Urbányi (born 17 April 1967 in Salgótarján) is a Hungarian former football player and coach. Career As a player, he spent most of his career at Bp. Honvéd and Győri ETO as a defender and midfielder. In 1990, he played two games for Hungary After a nearly two decade-long career, in 1999 he also trialled with FK Lofoten in Norway. He was the head coach of Újpest FC from December 2006 to April 2008. In the end of February 2009, he was appointed as the head coach of the national team of Maldives. His first assignment as the coach of the Maldives was the AFC Challenge Cup qualification, where Maldives faced Bhutan, Philippines and Turkmenistan. His contract ran out in 2010 and following the sides could not reach an agreement over an extension, Urbányi left the Maldives. Club Valencia is a Maldivian football club based in Malé, Maldives. Nicknamed ''The Sunrisers'', the club competes in the Dhivehi Premier League, the top tier of Maldivian football. History The notion of establishing a football club named Club Valencia arose in the late 1970s from the players of blue and gold teams participating in the Junior Football Pool organized by National Sports Academy. The first two names proposed to the government for approval as the name of the club were Youth Recreation Movement and Juvenile Valencia Atletico; both were rejected.
