Mohamaddin Ketapi
Datuk Mohamaddin bin Ketapi (born 3 June 1957) is a Malaysian politician who served as the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad from July 2018 to the collapse of the PH administration in February 2020. He served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lahad Datu from October 2019 to November 2022 and for Silam from May 2018 to October 2019, Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Segama since September 2020 and Lahad Datu from August 1986 to October 1990. He also served as the State Assistant Minister of Industrial and Rural Development of Sabah in the United Sabah Party (PBS) state administration under former Chief Minister Joseph Pairin Kitingan from 1986 to 1990. Malay Titles
The Malay language has a complex system of styles, titles and honorifics which are used extensively in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the southern Philippines. Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and several provinces in Indonesia regularly award honorary and life titles. What follows in this article is specific to the Malaysian system. Cabinet Of Sabah
The Cabinet of Sabah is a part of the executive arm of the Government of Sabah, Malaysia. The Cabinet consists of the Chief Minister, appointed by the List of Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah, Governor on the basis that he is able to command a majority in the Sabah State Legislative Assembly, and 10 other ministers made up of members of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly. This Cabinet is similar in structure and role to Cabinet of Malaysia, that of federal level, while being smaller in size. As federal and state responsibilities differ, there are a number of portfolios that differ between the federal and state governments. Mohamad Sunoh Marso
Muhammad ( ar, مُحَمَّد; 570 – 8 June 632 CE) was an Arab religious, social, and political leader and the founder of Islam. According to Islamic doctrine, he was a prophet divinely inspired to preach and confirm the monotheistic teachings of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and other prophets. He is believed to be the Seal of the Prophets within Islam. 1986 Sabah State Election
The 1986 Sabah state election was held between Sunday, 4 May and Monday, 5 May 1986. The snap election was called by chief minister Pairin Kitingan in response to civil disturbances and political defections following the results of the 1985 state election. The election was won by Pairin's Parti Bersatu Sabah which kept all its seats and gained 9 more (4 from USNO, 4 from Berjaya and the only seat held by Pasok). Berjaya lost all 6 seats it held (4 to PBS, 1 to USNO and 1 to SCCP) but gained one new seat from USNO. USNO had a net loss of 4 seats (losing 4 to PBS and exchanging 1 with Berjaya). Results Aftermath The SCCP candidate who has won in the election, quit his party and joined PBS 2 days after the election. 2020 Sabah State Election
The 2020 Sabah state election took place on 26 September 2020 to elect all 73 elected members of the 16th Sabah State Legislative Assembly. The previous Assembly was dissolved on 30 July 2020. The state snap election was called prematurely after a political crisis arose. Both Shafie Apdal, incumbent Chief Minister and leader of Sabah Heritage Party (WARISAN) and Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition government and Musa Aman, leader of Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition opposition claimed to have the majority to form the government. United Malay National Organisation
The United Malays National Organisation (Malay: ; Jawi: ; abbreviated UMNO () or less commonly PEKEMBAR), is a nationalist right-wing political party in Malaysia. The National Front ( ms, Barisan Nasional; abbrev: BN) is a political coalition of Malaysia that was founded in 1973 as a coalition of centre-right and right-wing political parties. It is also the third largest political coalition with 30 seats in the Dewan Rakyat after coalition Pakatan Harapan with 82 seats and the coalition Perikatan Nasional with 73 seats. 2018 Malaysian General Election
The 2018 Malaysian General Election, formally known as the 14th Malaysian General Election (), was held on Wednesday, 9 May 2018, for members of the 14th Parliament of Malaysia. At stake were all 222 seats in the Dewan Rakyat (the legislature's lower house) and 505 seats in 12 out of the 13 state legislative assemblies of Malaysia. Mohd Yusof bin Apdal (born 11 August 1961) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Chang Lih Kang since December 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lahad Datu since November 2022.
