Mohab Yasser
Mohab Yasser Abdalatif ( ar, مهاب ياسر; born 7 June 2002) is an Egyptian basketball player for Zamalek of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), as well as for the Egypt national basketball team. Standing at , he plays as shooting guard or point guard. Early life Born in Cairo, Yasser went on to play in the NBA Academy Africa in Saly, Senegal. He also appeared at Basketball Without Borders camps. Professional career Abdalatif was on the Zamalek roster for the 2020–21 season. He was on the Zamalek roster for the 2021 BAL season and was the youngest player to play in the inaugural season of the league at age 18. He was also the first prospect from an NBA Academy to play in the BAL. Yasser started in all games and won the first-ever BAL championship with his team, averaging 9 points over six games. Saly (also called Sali or Saly Portudal) is a seaside resort area in Thiès Region on the Petite Côte of Senegal, south of Dakar. 2022 BAL Season
The 2022 BAL season, also known as BAL Season 2, was the second season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL). The season began on 2 March 2022 and ended with the Finals on 28 May 2022. The group phase was played in the Dakar Arena in Dakar and the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in Cairo. The playoffs and finals were played in the BK Arena in Kigali for a second year in a row. Tunisian club US Monastir won the finals to win its first-ever BAL title, after defeating Angolan club Petro de Luanda in the 2022 BAL Finals. Ahmed Mohamed Marei (Arabic: أحمد مرعي; born 5 January 1959) is an Egyptian professional basketball coach and former player, currently serving as the head coach for Zamalek SC of the Egyptian Basketball Super League (EBSL). Previously he has also been the head coach of Al Ittihad Alexandria and the Egyptian national team. Playing career He played for Egypt’s national team in 1984 when he was a part of its Olympic Team.
