Mogens Pedersøn
Mogens Pedersøn (also ''Mogens Pedersen'', ''Magno Petreo''; c. 1583 – January or February 1623) was a Danish instrumentalist and composer. He is considered the most important Danish-born composer before Buxtehude. Life Early in his career he entered the service of the Danish monarch, Christian IV. In 1599 he was selected to accompany Melchior Borchgrevinck and two other Danish court musicians to study with Giovanni Gabrieli in Venice, returning to Denmark in 1600. After continuing to study with Borchgrevinck, he was appointed an instrumentalist member of the royal chapel in 1603. In 1605 Pedersøn undertook a further longer trip to study with Gabrieli with the support of King Christian, remaining in Venice for four years. During this time he published his first book of madrigals in 1608. These Italian madrigals are polyphonic compositions for five voices in a contemporary late Renaissance style. Victor Andreas Emanuel Mogens (16 August 1886 – 17 January 1964) was a Norwegian journalist, editor and politician for the Fatherland League. Pre-war life and career He was born in Bergen, and grew up in Bergen, Trondheim, Kristiania and Holmestrand before returning to Bergen to finish his secondary education at Bergen Cathedral School in 1905. He then went through some years of law studies. He was a journalist in '' Landsbladet'' from 1910 to 1911, and was then hired in ''Verdens Gang'' where he soon became subeditor. He then edited the periodical '' Ukens Revy'' from 1914 to 1921 and his own magazine ''Utenrikspolitikken'' from 1921 to 1924, but the latter publication went defunct. Mogens Lykketoft (; born 9 January 1946) is a Danish politician who served as Leader of the Social Democrats (''Socialdemokraterne'') from 2002 to 2005. Mogens Lassen (20 February 1901 – 14 December 1987) was a Modernist Danish architect and designer, working within the idiom of the International Style. He mainly designed residential buildings, both in the form of single-family houses and apartment blocks. He was the brother of Flemming Lassen, also an architect. Mogens Krogh (; born 31 October 1963) is a Danish former professional football player who was most recently manager of Næstved BK.
