Moesgård Beach
Moesgård Beach is a public Blue Flag beach in Aarhus Municipality in Denmark. The beach is located in the southern outskirts of Aarhus in the Marselisborg Forests on the Bay of Aarhus in the suburb of Højbjerg. Helgenæs lies across the bay to the east, a bit inland to the west is the Marselisborg Deer Park and to the north is the Varna Palace. The beach area is some 1000 meters long and between 25 and 40 meters wide. It is a white sandy beach with occasional rows of boulders extending into the sea, for coastal erosion protection. Moesgård Beach is popular for sunbathing and swimming due to the shielding effects and scenic views of the nearby forests on the steep hillsides to the west. The beach has a single jetty extending some 20 meters into the sea, offering a platform to jump from or relax on. The Beach is open year-round for everyone at no charge. Marselisborg Forests
Marselisborg Forests ( da, Marselisborgskovene), or simply Marselisborg Forest, is a forest to the south of Aarhus City in the Kingdom of Denmark. Many present day sources now includes the forest of Fløjstrup, as part of the Marselisborg Forests, upping the total area with another . Giber Ã…
Giber Å is a long stream in Aarhus Municipality. Giber Å and surroundings is a protected Natura 2000 site. The protection is mainly located in the Marselisborg Forests approximately 4 miles south of the city of Aarhus. Course Giber Å springs from the bog of Testrup Mose, south of the suburb Tranbjerg, and runs through the town of Mårslet, past Vilhelmsborg Manor, before winding through Vilhelmsborg Forest and Moesgård Forest, to finally empty in Aarhus Bay by Moesgård Beach. The smaller streams of ''Ballebæk'', ''Morsebæk'', ''Hovedgrøften'' and ''Kapelbæk'' merges with Giber Å along its way, and the stream is also fed by the water treatment plants of the area. Marselisborg Yacht Harbour
Marselisborg Yacht Harbour (Danish: ''Marselisborg Lystbådehavn'') is a marina located in Aarhus, Denmark. The marina has been in operation since 1991 and is situated adjacent to Tangkrogen on the south side of the Port of Aarhus, It includes restaurants, cafes, a hotel and a number of sports clubs and sailing schools. History The background for the yacht harbor was the expansion of the Port of Aarhus in 1981–83. The construction of the new port facilities required storing a large amount of dirt which created a lagoon by Tangkrogen. Boat owners who was waiting for a spot at one of the marinas in Arhus, or who couldn't afford one, started storing their boats and ships in the lagoon. Eventually space became sparse and construction had reached a point where the lagoon would have to abandoned. Åkrogen (lit.: River-nook) is an urban, public beach and park in the northern parts of Aarhus, Denmark. Åkrogen is situated in both the neighborhood of Risskov and the suburb of Egå on the Bay of Aarhus at Egå Marina. The beach park is divided by the marina in a southern and a northern section. Kalø Vig and Helgenæs is in the east and a bit inland to the west is the lake of Egå Engsø. The beach itself is fairly slim, between wide, with a beachline stretching for some at the southern section and in the northern section. It is coarse sandy beach with gravel and several coastal protections composed of rows of boulders extending into the sea. A few short stretches of the beach are broader with white sand. Bellevue Beach, Aarhus
Bellevue Beach is a public Blue Flag beach park in Aarhus, Denmark. It is located in the northern district of Aarhus N, 4 kilometres from the city centre, on the Bay of Aarhus. Bellevue Beach is one of two beach parks in the Risskov neighbourhood, the other one being the smaller Risskov Strandpark a bit south, and one of four beach parks in Aarhus. Den Permanente (lit: The Permanent) is a sea bath and a beach in Aarhus, Denmark. Den Permanente is situated below the woodland park Riis Skov north of the city centre and along the railway line of Aarhus Nærbane. Den Permanente is one of two municipal beaches in Aarhus with public bathing structures, the other being Ballehage Beach in the Marselisborg Forests south of the city centre. The historic restaurant Sjette Frederiks Kro is situated in the forest above the sea bath. Odder Municipality
Odder Municipality is a municipality (Danish: '' kommune'') in the Central Denmark Region on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in Central Denmark south of Aarhus.
