Moeaki Fotuaika
Moeaki Fotuaika (born 16 November 1999) is a Tonga international rugby league footballer who plays as for the Gold Coast Titans in the NRL. He has previously played at representative level for Queensland in the State of Origin series. Background Born in Gisborne, New Zealand, Fotuaika moved to Brisbane with his family in 2007 at age 7. He played his junior rugby league for the Greenbank Raiders and attended Keebra Park State High School before being signed by the Gold Coast Titans. Playing career Early career In 2015, Fotuaika played for the Souths Logan Magpies in the Cyril Connell Cup. In 2016, he moved up to the club's Mal Meninga Cup side. In 2017, Fotuaika joined the Gold Coast Titans, playing for their under-20s side, winning the club's Under-20 Player of the Year award. Wests Tigers
The Wests Tigers are an Australian professional Rugby league, rugby league football team, based in the Inner West and South West Sydney. They have competed in the National Rugby League since being formed at the end of the 1999 NRL season as a joint-venture club between the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Wests Tigers started playing in the 2000 NRL season and they won their maiden premiership in 2005 NRL season, 2005. Mosese Fotuaika (25 March 1992 – 28 February 2013) was a New Zealand professional rugby league footballer who was contracted to the Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League. He primarily played . He was of Tongan and New Zealand Māori descent. Playing career Mosese Fotuaika played his junior football for Keebra Park before being signed by the Wests Tigers. He played for the Tigers' NYC team in 2012. In 2012, Fotuaika played in the Tigers' 2012 NYC Grand Final win over the Canberra Raiders. Mosese played a key role in Wests Tigers winning their inaugural NYC premiership in 2012 and was a full-time member of the Wests Tigers NRL squad for 2013. 2021 Rugby League World Cup – Men's Tournament
The 2021 Men's Rugby League World Cup, was the 16th Rugby League World Cup, and one of three major tournaments of the 2021 Rugby League World Cup. The tournament was held in England from 15 October 2022 to 19 November 2022. It was originally due to be held between 23 October 2021 and 27 November 2021, but the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent withdrawals of Australia and New Zealand caused the tournament to be postponed. 16 teams competed in the tournament, an increase of two from the previous two tournaments and the first to feature 16 teams since the 2000 Rugby League World Cup. The 2022 NRL season is the 115th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 25th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 16th consecutive year. This became the second longest stretch of time (after 1947-1966 - 20 seasons) of a continuous line-up of teams in competition history (overtaking 1967-1981 - 15 seasons). Pre-season Pre-season matches were played between 12 February and 28 February 2022, before a 10-day lead up until the beginning of the regular season. The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby league, Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. 2020 State Of Origin Series
The 2020 State of Origin series was the 39th annual best-of-three series between the Queensland and New South Wales rugby league teams. Before this series, Queensland has won 21 times, NSW 15 times, with two series drawn. Originally, the series was to have been played in the traditional mid-season slot; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic which caused the season to be suspended after round two, the series was moved to November, with the three matches to be played on consecutive Wednesday nights. On 15 May, the NRL announced that the matches would be played on three consecutive Wednesdays after the season's end, these being 4, 11 and 18 November. The Queensland rugby league team represents the Australian state of Queensland in rugby league football. Nicknamed the "Maroons" after the colour of their jersey, they play three times a year against arch-rivals New South Wales in the State of Origin series.
