Modern Ruin (Covenant Album)
''Modern Ruin'' is the seventh studio album of Swedish futurepop band Covenant. It was released on 17 January 2011 by Synthetic Symphony. This was the first album by the band that featured Daniel Myer as a core member. The second disc features various versions of "Wir Sind Die Nacht", a song the band recorded for the film of the same name. Covenant (band)
Covenant is a Swedish electronic band formed in Helsingborg in 1988. The band is currently composed of Eskil Simonsson and Joakim Montelius (born 22 August 1969) along with touring members Andreas Catjar, Daniel Jonasson from Dupont, and Daniel Myer from Haujobb. Their music comprises a mixture of synthpop and electronic body music. They have been releasing music since the early 1990s. RSF Kobol
The RSF Kobol is a French monophonic synthesizer released in 1978, described by some as "the French Minimoog". It could process external sounds to through the envelope and filter section. It was created by Ruben and Serge Fernandez. Fewer than 200 were made as they were not mass-produced. The Kobol is a very versatile instrument, offering many sought-after features of other analogue synthesizers of its time. Rack Mount A rack-mount system was released in 1979. There were four different types: The Kobol Rack (Expander I) was only the VCO/VCF/VCA/LFO sections of the Kobol in a rack module. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). In recent years digital masters have become usual, although analog masters—such as audio tapes—are still being used by the manufacturing industry, particularly by a few engineers who specialize in analog mastering. Mastering requires critical listening; however, software tools exist to facilitate the process.
