Modern College, Kohima
Modern College, located in Piphema, is a college in Nagaland. The college is located 22 kms from state capital Kohima and 18 kms from Chumukedima. The college's campus has a total land area of 102 acres. The college was established in 1997. Since then the college was operating at its Kohima campus until 2023 when it shifted to its new campus at Piphema under Chumukedima district. University Grants Commission (India)
University Grants Commission (UGC) is a statutory body set up by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India in accordance to the UGC Act 1956 and is charged with coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of higher education in India. It provides recognition to universities in India, and disbursements of funds to such recognized universities and colleges. The headquarters are in New Delhi, and it has six regional centres in Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Guwahati and Bangalore.
