Model–test–model

Simulation-based Acquisition
In the USA the Director for Test Systems Engineering and Evaluation (DTSE&E) commissioned in 1995 a one-year study to assess the effectiveness of the use of M&S in weapon systems acquisition and support processes. The DTSE&E study developed an approach to acquisition which was named simulation-based acquisition (SBA). United States Army Test And Evaluation Command
The U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, or ATEC, is a direct reporting unit of the United States Army responsible for developmental testing, independent operational testing, independent evaluations, assessments, and experiments of Army equipment. As a direct reporting unit (DRU) under the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, ATEC informs Army senior leaders of testing and evaluation activities. United States Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity (AMSAA) is an analysis organization of the United States Army. AMSAA's overall goal is to provide soldiers with the best U.S. Army materiel possible.
