Mkinga District, Tanga
Mkinga District, officially the, Mkinga District Council (''Wilaya ya Mkinga'', in Swahili) is one of eleven administrative districts of Tanga Region in Tanzania. It was created from Muheza District in 2007. The District covers an area of . The district is comparable in size to the land area of Samoa. The administrative capital of the district is Parungu Kasera. The district is bordered by Tanga District to the south east and Muheza District to the south west. On the east the district is bordered by the Indian Ocean. On the west is Korogwe District and Lushoto District. The latter's northern boundary is a slither of Mkomazi National Park. On the north the district borders Kenya. The highest point in the district is Mhinduro Peak at 913m. The district is home to the Umba Game Controlled Area, the Umba Valley; the world's only source of Umba saffires. Boma (''Kata ya Boma, '' in Swahili) is an administrative ward of the Mkinga District in the Tanga Region of Tanzania. The ward covers a peninsula surrounded by the Pemba Channel on the east and Manza Bay on the west. The Manza and Moa wards are attached to the ward to the west. Mkomazi National Park
Mkomazi National Park is located in northeastern Tanzania on the Kenyan border, in Kilimanjaro Region and Tanga Region. It was established as a game reserve in 1951 and upgraded to a national park in 2006. The park covers over , and is dominated by ''Acacia''-''Commiphora'' vegetation; it is contiguous with Kenya's Tsavo West National Park. The area commonly called 'Mkomazi' is actually the union of two previous game reserves, the Umba Game Reserve in the east (in Lushoto District, Tanga Region) and the Mkomazi Game Reserve in the west (in Same District, Kilimanjaro Region); in government documents they are sometimes called the Mkomazi-Umba Game Reserves. Lushoto District
Lushoto is one of the eleven districts of Tanga Region in Tanzania. It is bordered to the northeast by Kenya, to the east by the Muheza District, to the northwest by the Kilimanjaro Region, west by Korogwe District and to the south by the Bumbuli District. Korogwe District also known as Korogwe District Council is one of the eleven districts of Tanga Region in Tanzania. The District covers an area of . It is bordered to the northeast by the Lushoto District and north by Bumbuli District.
