Mkhuleko Hlengwa
Mkhuleko Hlengwa (born 12 June 1987) is a South African politician who serves as a Member of the National Assembly for the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP). He is the Chairperson of parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA). He became a Member of the National Assembly in February 2012 and has served on the SCOPA committee since 2014. Hlengwa was previously the National Chairperson of the IFP Youth Brigade. Life and career Hlengwa was born in Durban. His father, Mhlabunzima Hlengwa, served as an IFP MP from 1994 until 2004. He became a party activist at the young age of 10 in 1997 and soon became National Chairperson of the IFP Youth Brigade. He was sworn in as a Member of the National Assembly in May 2012 and consequently became one of the youngest parliamentarians. Zulu People
Zulu people (; zu, amaZulu) are a Nguni ethnic group native to Southern Africa. The Zulu people are the largest ethnic group and nation in South Africa, with an estimated 10–12 million people, living mainly in the province of KwaZulu-Natal. They originated from Nguni communities who took part in the Bantu migrations over millennia. As the clans integrated together, the rulership of Shaka brought success to the Zulu nation due to his improved military tactics and organization. Mthokozisi Nxumalo
Mthokozisi Nkululeko Nxumalo (7 January 19891 August 2021) was a South African politician who was a Member of the National Assembly from May 2019 until his death in August 2021. A member of the Inkatha Freedom Party, he was the National Chairperson of the Inkatha Freedom Party Youth Brigade from July 2019 until his death. Nxumalo formerly served as president of the South African Democratic Students Movement, the IFP's student wing. Early life and education Nxxumalo was born in Vryheid on 7 January 1989. His mother was Junerose Mkwanazi. Nxumalo studied construction management at the Mangosuthu University of Technology. Political career In August 2011, Nxumalo was elected president of the Inkatha Freedom Party's student wing, the South African Democratic Students Movement (Sadesmo). 2014 South African General Election
General elections were held in South Africa on 7 May 2014, to elect a new National Assembly and new provincial legislatures in each province. It was the fifth election held in South Africa under conditions of universal adult suffrage since the end of the apartheid era in 1994, and also the first held since the death of Nelson Mandela. It was also the first time that South African expatriates were allowed to vote in a South African national election. The National Assembly election was won by the African National Congress (ANC), but with a reduced majority of 62.1%, down from 65.9% in the 2009 election. The official opposition Democratic Alliance (DA) increased its share of the vote from 16.7% to 22.2%, while the newly formed Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) obtained 6.4% of the vote. Inkosi Mhlabunzima Wellington Hlengwa (13 March 1945 – 16 March 2005) was a South African politician and Zulu traditional leader who served as Deputy Speaker of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature until his death in March 2005. Before assuming that office in 2004, Hlengwa represented his political party, the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP), in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2004. He was also the chief of KwaThoyana Tribal Authority near Umbumbulu in eThekwini, KwaZulu-Natal, a position to which he was appointed in 1988. Life and career Hlengwa was born on 13 March 1945.
