Mišo Krstičević
Mišo Krstičević () (born 19 February 1958) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player. He is currently the manager of third-tier club Jadran LP. Club career Krstičević began his career in 1972 when he made a senior debut as a 14-year-old for Jadran Ploče. The same year he was spotted by Neretva Metković. After joining Neretva, he went to their youth academy. He debuted for them in 1975 and played with them until 1978 when he was spotted and bought by Hajduk Split. In his first season at Hajduk, he managed to win the Yugoslav championship in 1979. He played a huge part in that winning season by playing 33 times and becoming a first team regular. Despite having world class teammates such as Zlatko Vujović and Ivan Gudelj he still managed to hold his regular team status. Ivan Gudelj
Ivan Gudelj (born 21 September 1960) is a Croatian retired football midfielder who represented Yugoslavia. A full international, his career was cut short at age 25 after collapsing during a match against Red Star Belgrade. It turned out to be a hepatitis infection. Club career Zmijavci-bred Gudelj started his player career in a club from the neighbouring village of Runovići – NK Mračaj. There, he was coached by Marinko Boban, the father of future football star Zvonimir Boban. A few years later, Gudelj went to play for Hajduk Split, for which he played 362 games in total, scoring 93 goals, in the 1976-1986 period. He quickly marked himself out as a dependable and elegant defensive midfielder, earning the moniker " Beckenbauer from Zmijavci" in the Yugoslav press. Zlatko Vujović
Zlatko Vujović (; born 26 August 1958) is a Croatian retired footballer who played as a striker. His twin brother, Zoran, was also a professional footballer. They were both Yugoslav internationals, and both spent a large part of their professional careers in France. Club career Born in Sarajevo, Vujović started his professional career with Hajduk Split, making his first division debuts at just 18 and going on to score more than 100 goals in the league (172 overall in 420 matches), while often partnering his brother Zoran. He helped his first club win one league in 1979 and one cup five years later, also being named Yugoslav Footballer of the Year in 1981 by the '' Večernji list'' daily. 1978–79 Yugoslav First League
The 1978–79 Yugoslav First League season was the 33rd season of the First Federal League (), the top level association football competition of SFR Yugoslavia, since its establishment in 1946. Hajduk Split won the league title. A total of 18 teams competed in the league, with the defending champions Partizan nearly relegated, finishing the season in 15th place, one point above the relegation zone. Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb both finished the season equal on 50 points, but Hajduk won the championship due to better goal difference. The season began on 12 August 1978 and concluded on 17 June 1979. This was the third and last national title win for Hajduk under the guidance of manager Tomislav Ivić, who previously led the club to four consecutive Yugoslav Cup wins in 1972, 1973, 1974 and 1976 (not contested in 1975). Hrvatski Nogometni klub Hajduk Split, commonly referred to as Hajduk Split (), is a Croatian professional football club based in Split, that competes in the Croatian First League, the top tier in Croatian football. Since 1979, the club's home ground has been the 33,987-seater Stadion Poljud. The team's traditional home colours are white shirts with blue shorts and blue socks.
