Moshé Mizrahi
Moshé Mizrahi ( he, משה מזרחי; 5 September 1931 – 3 August 2018) was an Israeli film director. Biography He was born in Egypt, migrated to Mandatory Palestine in 1946, and studied filmmaking in France in 1950. He directed the Oscar-winning 1977 film ''Madame Rosa'' starring Simone Signoret. The film, which was about a former prostitute in Paris who survived Auschwitz, won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film on behalf of France. He directed 14 films in both Israel and France, three of which were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film; '' I Love You Rosa'', ''The House on Chelouche Street'' and ''Madame Rosa'', with the last of these winning the award. In September 1994, he was honored by the Haifa Film Festival for his lifetime contribution to Israeli cinema. Yossi Mizrahi ( he, יוסי מזרחי, born 1953) is a retired Israeli goalkeeper and is a current manager. Early life Yosef (Yossi) Mizrahi was born in West Jerusalem on April 4, 1953. He grew up in Katamon and studied at Ma'aleh state religious school. As a teenager, he played on the youth team of Hapoel Jerusalem. Career In 1974–1987, Mizrahi was the goalkeeper for Beitar Jerusalem. Two years after he joined the team, it won the State Cup for the first time. In 1994, Mizrahi was assistant coach under Amatzia Levkovic. In 1994, Levkovic was fired four games into the season and Mizrahi was appointed head coach. Shimon Mizrahi (born October 16, 1939, Tel Aviv) is an Israeli lawyer and the chairman of the Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club. Biography Professional career Mizrahi is the senior partner in the B. Arnon – S. Mizrahi law office, and specializes in traffic violation cases.
