Mizpah, New Jersey
Mizpah is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within the Mays Landing section of Hamilton Township, in Atlantic County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Mizpah was established as a Jewish colony in southern New Jersey and was planned out by a New York firm of cloak makers. It originally had a factory, 30 houses, and about 100 settlers. Uncle Dewey's is a popular barbecue stand located in Mizpah, along U.S. Route 40. Demographics As of the 2020 United States census, the population was 479. 2007 NACAC Championships In Athletics
The 2007 North American, Central American and Caribbean Championships was a regional track and field competition held at the Flor Blanca National Stadium in San Salvador, El Salvador, from July 13–15, 2007. It was the inaugural edition of a senior track and field championship for the NACAC region. A total of forty-three events were contested, 22 by male and 21 by female athletes. The championships served as preparation for the 2007 Pan American Games, held later that month, for many of the senior athletes. Canada and Cuba, two of the region's strongest countries in the sport, did not send a delegation to participate. Long Jump
The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a takeoff point. Along with the triple jump, the two events that measure jumping for distance as a group are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". Shameka Marshall
Shameka Marshall (born 9 September 1983) is an American long jumper who attended Rutgers University. She was a 2-time All American in the long jump and also qualified for the NCAA 60 meter hurdles with a personal best of 8.19 seconds. Her best long jump while attending Rutger was 21 feet 10.25 inches. She was inducted into the Rutgers Athletics Hall of Fame in October 2017. Raised in Quinton Township, New Jersey, Marshall attended Oakcrest High School, where she won two individual state titles as a senior and graduating in 2001. Professionally, she won a gold medal at the 2007 NACAC Championships in Athletics. While also representing the United States in the relay team. Cloak
A cloak is a type of loose garment worn over clothing, mostly but not always as outerwear for outdoor wear, serving the same purpose as an overcoat, protecting the wearer from the weather.
