Miyuki Miyabe
is a Japanese writer of genre fiction. She has won numerous Japanese literary awards, including the Yoshikawa Eiji Prize for New Writers, the Yoshikawa Eiji Prize for Literature, the Shiba Ryotaro Prize, the Yamamoto Shūgorō Prize, and the Naoki Prize. Her work has been widely adapted for film, television, manga, and video games, and has been translated into over a dozen languages. Early life and education Miyabe was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1960. Her mother was a seamstress and her father was an assembly line worker at a factory. She graduated from Sumidagawa High School, then attended a business training school before taking an administrative job at a law office. Career Miyabe started writing novels at the age of 23. In 1984, while working at a law office, Miyabe began to take writing classes at a writing school run by the Kodansha publishing company. Miyabe Keijun
was a Tendai monk from Mount Hiei in western Japan. He was the father of Miyabe Nagafusa and became a reputable administrator under Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the latter half of the Sengoku period of feudal Japan. His name could also be read as Miyabe Tsugimasu. Keijun received Miyabe Castle from Azai Nagamasa when he gave his support to the Azai clan. Fighting against the Oda clan during the Battle of Anegawa in 1570, Nagamasa and his counterpart Asakura Yoshikage were defeated, prompting Keijun to distrust his lord's ability, but not to the point in which he was willing to defect. In 1573, Oda Nobunaga laid siege to the Azai clan's Sawayama Castle, which was held by Isono Kazumasa. The castle fell after a siege that lasted over three months. In response, Nagamasa took Kazumasa's elderly mother, who he held hostage in Odani Castle, to the execution grounds for death. Yukinori Miyabe
was a Japanese Speed skating, speed skater who competed in the 1992 Winter Olympics and the 1994 Winter Olympics. Speedskating career Born in Katsushika, Tokyo, Miyabe moved to Kushiro when he was 5 years old, and started speedskating. He then moved to Saitama prefecture in the first year of Junior High school and joined Sankyo Seiki. At the 1992 Winter Olympics, he won the bronze medal in the 1000 metres event.
