Mittineague is a neighborhood along the Westfield River in Southern West Springfield, Massachusetts. Mittineague derives from the Agawam Algonquian L-dialect, related to Nipmuk "muttinohkou" + "ohke" = "land on the right" (Gustafson, Holly, "A Nipmuck Grammar," Univ.
