The Crystal Mover is a rubber-tired automated people mover (APM) system for airport and light rail applications manufactured by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Mihara, Japan. The Crystal Mover, initially based on the Japanese APM standard, is used in automated guideway transit systems in China, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. The Hong Kong International Airport Automated People Mover is a driverless people mover located within Hong Kong International Airport. It operates in two segments within Terminal 1 and the Midfield Concourse, and between Terminals 1, Terminals 2, and also connects to the Skypier. Setup The first segment runs between the East Hall and the West Hall in Terminal 1. The segment aims to provide a faster and easier way for passengers travelling between immigration and boarding gates at the far end of the Terminal. Westbound service is for departure passengers only, while eastbound service is for arrival passengers only. The Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Crystal Mover C810A is an automated people mover vehicle which serves the Sengkang LRT line and Punggol LRT line as the second generation train after their previous counterparts Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Crystal Mover C810. Two train sets commenced revenue service on 5 April 2016, with Set 43 and 44 running on the East and West loop of the Sengkang LRT line respectively. Since then, the rest of the fleet progressively entered service. Train design There is little difference between its older counterpart, the C810. However, its headlights are vertical instead of horizontal and luminously white instead of yellow installed on its predecessor. Its train number is underlined. } The Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Crystal Mover C810 is an automated people mover train that serves the Sengkang LRT line and Punggol LRT line in Singapore. The Punggol LRT line is an automated guideway transit line in Singapore. The line, which initially opened on 29 January 2005, connects the residential districts and suburbs of Punggol to Punggol Town Centre, where it connects with the North East MRT line and the Punggol Bus Interchange. It is the third line of the LRT system in Singapore and like all other LRT lines, it is fully elevated and uses automated trains. The first phase is a line with 15 stations in two loops.
