Mitin Masi is a fictional Bengali female detective character created by Suchitra Bhattacharya.She is one of the most famous female detective and most read in Bengali novels. Character Suchitra Bhattacharya created detective fictions about Mitin mainly for teenagers, although wrote some stories of Mitin for adults. The real name of Mitin Masi is ''Pragyaparamita Mukherjee''. She is in her mid 30s, lives in Dhakuria, Kolkata with her husband, ''Partha'' and son, ''Bumbum'', and likes to cook. Suchitra Bhattacharya (10 January 1950 – 2015) was an Indian novelist, known for works including ''Hemanter Pakhi'', ''Kachher Manush'', ''Aleek Shukh'', ''Icche'' and ''Kacher Dewal''. During her career as a writer, she composed over 20 novels and many short stories. Her novel ''Dahan'' was adapted into the 1997 film '' Dahan'', and her novels ''Iccher Gach'', ''Alik Sukh'' and ''Ramdhanu Rang'' were adapted into films by Shiboprosad Mukherjee, and her novel ''Onnyo Bwasanto'' was adapted into a television film by Aditi Roy. Gharial
The gharial (''Gavialis gangeticus''), also known as gavial or fish-eating crocodile, is a crocodilian in the family Gavialidae and among the longest of all living crocodilians. Mature females are long, and males . Adult males have a distinct boss at the end of the snout, which resembles an earthenware pot known as a ''ghara'', hence the name "gharial". Zanskar, Zahar (locally) or Zangskar, is a tehsil of Kargil district, in the Indian union territory of Ladakh. The administrative centre is Padum (former Capital of Zanskar).
