Mitch McVicker (album)
Mitch McVicker is a GMA Dove Award-winning contemporary Christian Music singer-songwriter. Biography McVicker attended Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, in the early-1990s where he met and befriended the late CCM recording artist, Rich Mullins. After graduating in May 1995, McVicker and Mullins moved to Tse Bonito, New Mexico, while also touring and writing songs together. With Mullins and song collaborator Beaker, McVicker co-wrote the musical, ''Canticle of the Plains'', which is based on the life and teachings of Saint Francis of Assisi. Completed in late 1996, McVicker sang lead vocals on four of the project's songs: "There You Are," "Heaven is Waiting," "Things Even Angels," and "You Are All." McVicker began recording his first solo project in the summer of 1997 with the help of Mullins and Mark Robertson. Wes King
Wes King (born January 20, 1966) is an American contemporary Christian singer, songwriter, photographer, and musician. He is perhaps best known for his 1993 album ''The Robe.'' His demo material, a cassette tape named "Lonely Poet", is sung by other artists, such as Kim Hill. He briefly attended Covenant College outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee, in the late 1980s. He also led worship at Christian youth retreat camps. Background After picking up the guitar at the age of 14, Wes wrote his first songs two years later; after studying the Bible at Covenant College, he relocated to Franklin, Tennessee. Wes signed with Reunion Records and recorded his first solo LP The Ultimate Underlying No Denying Motivation in 1990. David Mullen (singer)
David Mullen (born 1964) is a former Blues Pop / CCM singer, songwriter and musician. Later he became well known as a songwriter, music producer, and film score composer. He released his first album in 1989, and won the GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year in 1990. He later recorded his last album in 1994. Since then, he has written and produced recordings for several other Christian artists, most notably Nicole C. Mullen. David and Nicole shared the 1998 Dove Award for Song of the Year (along with Michael Ochs) for writing the song "On My Knees" for Jaci Velasquez; Nicole later included the song on her own album. The couple divorced in 2014. He wrote songs to '' Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie'' and made the music for Chris Olsen's ''Threads: A Pond Full of Pigs''. The Jesus Record
The Jesus Record is the ninth and final album by American singer and songwriter Rich Mullins, released posthumously on July 21, 1998, ten months after his death. The first disc of the album, entitled "The Jesus Demos", consists of nine rough demos Mullins recorded for the album in an abandoned church on September 10, 1997, nine days before his death. The songs were meant for a concept album based on the life of Jesus Christ, to be called ''Ten Songs About Jesus''. The second disc was recorded after Mullins' death by a Ragamuffin Band (Rick Elias, Mark Robertson, Jimmy Abegg and Aaron Smith), with guest vocals by Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Ashley Cleveland, and Phil Keaggy. Orchestration for the album, arranged and conducted by Tom Howard, were recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios. Diplopia
Diplopia is the simultaneous perception of two images of a single object that may be displaced horizontally or vertically in relation to each other. Also called double vision, it is a loss of visual focus under regular conditions, and is often voluntary. However, when occurring involuntarily, it results in impaired function of the extraocular muscles, where both eyes are still functional, but they cannot turn to target the desired object. Problems with these muscles may be due to mechanical problems, disorders of the neuromuscular junction, disorders of the cranial nerves ( III, IV, and VI) that innervate the muscles, and occasionally disorders involving the supranuclear oculomotor pathways or ingestion of toxins.
