Mitch Malloy (album)
''Mitch Malloy'' is the self-titled debut album by American singer-songwriter Mitch Malloy. It featured 11 songs, all of which were co-written by Malloy himself and produced by engineer Sir Arthur Payson (according to Malloy, it was the first album Payson had produced on his own without his mentor, Desmond Child). The record's first single, the hard-edged, up-tempo rocker "Anything at All" became a top-20 hit on the US rock charts, and was a hit on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 reachin #49 on June 13, 1992 It also had a rather popular music video, which was featured on MTV's ''Headbangers Ball''. Mitch Malloy
Mitch Malloy (born August 26, 1961) is an American singer, best known as the former lead vocalist for the rock band Great White from 2018 to 2022. Biography Malloy studied music at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. He got his first break when he was signed to RCA. Malloy's self-titled first album featured session musicians such as Mickey Curry, Hugh McDonald and Michael Thompson. His first single as a solo artist on RCA records, "Anything At All", was a top 20 rock charting hit and a pop hit in the US. His third single, "Our Love Will Never Die", earned him an appearance on ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno''. His second album, ''Ceilings And Walls'', featured guest musicians such as Bernie Leadon, Mike Rutherford and Paul Carrack. Album-oriented rock (AOR, originally called album-oriented radio) is an FM radio format created in the United States in the 1970s that focuses on the full repertoire of rock albums and is currently associated with classic rock. Album-oriented radio was originally established by U.S. radio stations dedicated to playing album tracks by rock artists from the hard rock to progressive rock genres. In the mid-1970s, AOR was characterized by a layered, mellifluous sound and sophisticated production with considerable dependence on melodic hooks. ''Headbangers Ball'' is a music television program that consisted of heavy metal music videos airing on MTV and its global affiliates. The show began on MTV on April 18, 1987, playing heavy metal music videos from both well-known and more obscure artists. The show offered (and became famous because of) a stark contrast to Top 40 music videos shown during the day. However, with the mainstream rise of alternative rock, grunge, pop punk and rap music in the 1990s, the relevance of ''Headbangers Ball'' came into question, and the show was ultimately canceled in 1995. Over eight years later, as new genres of heavy metal were gaining a commercial foothold and fan interest became unavoidable, the program was reintroduced on MTV2. Rebekka Ruth Lazone Bramlett (born April 19, 1968) is an American singer and session background singer. She is the daughter of Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett, of the music duo Delaney & Bonnie.
