Route 25 is a highway in south-eastern Missouri. Its northern terminus is at Business Interstate 55/U.S. Route 61/Route 34 in Jackson. Its southern terminus is at U.S. Route 412/ Route 84 in Kennett. Route 25 was one of the original 1922 state highways. Its original northern terminus was at Route 9 in Festus. Arbyrd is a small town in southeast Dunklin County, Missouri, United States. The population was 509 at the 2010 census. The town was officially incorporated in 1919. History A post office called Arbyrd has been in operation since 1911. The town's name is a contraction of A. R. Byrd, a land and cattle speculator from the St. Louis area who lived near San Antonio, Texas, at the time he purchased just over 4000 acres of mostly hardwood timber land just to the north of where the town was originally platted. Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) is a public university in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. In addition to the main campus, the university has four regional campuses offering full degree programs and a secondary campus housing the Holland College of Arts and Media.
