Route 130 is a highway in Linn County, Missouri in length. The route is signed in a south–north direction. Route description In the south, Route 130 begins at Route 139 in Laclede and heads due west through a rural area. After about , the highway turns north. Route 130 continues northward for the remainder of its course. It skirts the eastward boundary of Pershing State Park and crosses several creeks before coming to an end at a concurrency between U.S. Route 36 and Route 139. History Route 130 was assigned by 1949. However, at the time, the designation only ran a portion of its current length. Between 1974 and 1975, it was extended to its present southern terminus. Laclede, Missouri
Laclede is a city in Linn County, Missouri. The population was 305 at the 2020 census, down from 345 in 2010. History Laclede was platted in 1853. The city was named for Pierre Laclède, the founder of St. Louis. A post office called Laclede has been in operation since 1856. In July 2011 the United States Postal Service announced plans to permanently close the Laclede post office as part of a nationwide restructuring plan. The Locust Creek Covered Bridge, Gen. John J. U.S. Route 36 (US 36) is an east–west United States highway that travels approximately from Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado to Uhrichsville, Ohio. The highway's western terminus is at Deer Ridge Junction, an intersection in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, where it meets US 34. Its eastern terminus is at US 250 in Uhrichsville, Ohio. Pershing State Park
Pershing State Park is a public recreation area covering more than off U.S. Route 36, three miles west of Laclede in Linn County, Missouri. The state park was named in honor of General of the Armies John J. Pershing, who led the United States forces in Europe in World War I and who grew up in Laclede. History Long before John Pershing was born, or before any European immigrants reached the midwest, the land that encompasses Pershing State Park was the domain of Native Americans, mostly of the Sac and Fox tribes. The land in northern Missouri was used largely as hunting grounds for the tribes, but a few native settlements were established. Within the boundaries of Pershing State Park are two burial mounds and a former village site. The burial mounds are estimated to be between 1,000 and 2,000 years old. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Other terminology for a concurrency includes overlap, coincidence, duplex (two concurrent routes), triplex (three concurrent routes), multiplex (any number of concurrent routes), dual routing or triple routing.
