Missed Call (film)
''Missed Call'' is a 2005 Indian English language film directed by Mridul Toolsidas and Vinay Subramaniam duo. The film was shot on 16mm in 15 days on shoe-string budget. Shot in cinema verite style with on location sync- sound, it went on to becoming Opening Film at ''Indian Panorama'' section of the 36th International Film Festival of India, and featured in ''World Cinema India'' section at the 60th Cannes Film Festival. Missed Call garnered ''Best International Film'' at the Israel Film Festival, United States. Missed Call was adjudicated the ''Best International Film'' at the Red Sea International Film Festival in 2008. The film was honored with Films Division of India's "Best of Indian Cinema." 36th International Film Festival Of India
The 36th International Film Festival of India was held from November 24 to December 4, 2005 in Goa. The edition is focused on French cinema. Veteran actors Dev Anand and Chiranjeevi inaugurated the edition. The 36th edition was for the first time executed by Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt Ltd. 2007 Cannes Film Festival
The 60th Cannes Film Festival ran from 16 to 27 May 2007. The President of the Jury was British director Stephen Frears. Twenty two films from twelve countries were selected to compete for the Palme d'Or. The awards were announced on 26 May. ''4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days'', directed by Cristian Mungiu won the Palme d'Or. The Red Sea International Film Festival ( ar, مهرجان البحر الأحمر السينمائي الدولي) is a film festival launched in 2019 and held in Jeddah, western Saudi Arabia. The festival mainly focuses on new storytelling trends, as well as emerging talents from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world and the rest of the Global South.
