Miss Thailand Universe 2010
Miss Thailand Universe 2010, the 11th Miss Thailand Universe pageantheld at Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, in Bangkok, Thailand on March 20, 2010. The contestants will camp in Kamphaeng Phet before flying back to Bangkok for the final stage. Chutima Durongdej, Miss Thailand Universe 2009, will crown her successor at the end of this event. In the final round, broadcast live on BBTV Channel 7, Fonthip Watcharatrakul, was crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2010 by Chutima Durongdej, Miss Thailand Universe 2009. In this August, Fonthip Watcharatrakul, representative of Thailand at the Miss Universe 2010 pageant and in this November, Watsaporn Wattanakoon represented Thailand at the Miss Earth 2010. Miss Thailand Universe 2004 was the 5th Miss Thailand Universe pageant, held at Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, in Bangkok, Thailand on March 27, 2004. The 44 contestants arrived in Chiang Mai to participate in activities a week earlier, then returned to Bangkok to compete in the final round, which was broadcast live on BBTV Channel 7. Chananporn Rosjan was crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2004 by Yaowalak Traisurat, Miss Thailand Universe 2003. Morakot Aimee Kittisara ( th, มรกต เอมมี่ กิตติสาระ) later Morakot Sangtaweep ( th, มรกต แสงทวีป) is a Thai-British actress, model, and television presenter who won the Miss Thailand Universe pageant in 2004. She was born and raised in London, England. She attended Plashet School and Valentines Sixth Form in London before graduating from Brunel University. Pageantry Participation On 27 March 2004, Morakot Kittisara was crowned the fifth Miss Thailand Universe in Bangkok, Thailand. Apasra Hongsakula ( th, อาภัสรา หงสกุล, , ; born January 16, 1947) is a Thai businesswoman and beauty queen who won the title of Miss Universe 1965. She is a daughter of Group Captain Perm and Kayoon Hongsakula. She was the first woman from Thailand and the first Southeast Asian to win the Miss Universe title. Biography Apasra was born and raised in Bangkok, but she was sent to learn English at a girls secondary school in Penang, Malaysia. She married the first cousin of Queen Sirikit, by whom she has a son. The marriage ended long ago in divorce, but she remains a revered social figure in the country.
