Miss Teen USA 2010
Miss Teen USA 2010 was the 28th Miss Teen USA pageant, held at the Imperial Ballroom of the Atlantis Paradise Island, in The Bahamas on July 24, 2010. Stormi Henley, Miss Teen USA 2009, from Tennessee, crowned her successor, Maryland's Kamie Crawford, as Miss Teen USA 2010. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the prestigious title and the pageant was webcast live on Ustream. The 2nd annual Miss Teen Fantasy Camp was held along the pageant. The preliminary competition, hosted by Ed Fields and Stormi Henley, took place on July 23, while the final show was held on July 24, 2010. Emceeing the main event were Seth Goldman, host of NBC's "Entertainment Buzz", and Miss USA 2008, Crystle Stewart. Kameran "Kamie" Crawford (born October 25, 1992) is an American television host, and beauty pageant winner who was crowned Miss Teen USA 2010 on July 24, 2010 at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas. Crawford has been praised for her emotional intelligence and compassion on the popular TV Show, Catfish. Career Pageantry Crawford won the Miss Maryland Teen USA 2010 title on November 1, 2009, competing in her first pageant. Crawford spent 5 months training for the Miss Maryland Teen USA pageant and decided to enter after a talk with her friend. Miss USA 2008
Miss USA 2008 was the 57th Miss USA pageant, held in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 11, 2008. At the conclusion of the final night of competition, Crystle Stewart of Texas was crowned the winner by outgoing titleholder Rachel Smith of Tennessee. Crystle represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant, which was held in Vietnam, where she placed in the Top 10. This was also the first time in the pageant's 56-year history that two consecutive women of African Americans have been crowned. The pageant was held at the Theatre for the Performing Arts, a 7,000-seat theater located in the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Miss Florida Teen USA
The Miss Florida Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Florida in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Florida ties with Illinois and North Carolina for most Miss Photogenic awards (3). These were won in a successive streak from 1996 to 1998. In 2021, Florida became the 27th state that won the Miss Teen USA title for the first time. The Miss Arkansas Teen USA competition is the beauty pageant, pageant that selects the representative for the state of Arkansas in the Miss Teen USA pageant. The state pageant was directed by Premier Pageants from 2002 to 2007 before becoming part of the Vanbros organization, headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas. In 2007, Vanbros group took over the management of the pageant with the Miss Kansas Teen USA, Kansas, Miss Nebraska Teen USA, Nebraska, Miss Missouri Teen USA, Missouri and Miss Oklahoma Teen USA, Oklahoma pageants. Miss Alabama Teen USA
The Miss Alabama Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alabama in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner. Alabama's success at Miss Teen USA has improved in recent years, with eight teens making the cut, although none have placed higher than 4th runner-up until 2016. That placement went to Anna Mingus, who also won Miss Congeniality, Alabama's only special award until Erin Snow won Miss Photogenic in 2016. Mingus later took the title Miss Alabama USA in 1995, and is one of only three Alabama teens to win a Miss USA state title. The Miss Mississippi Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Mississippi in the Miss Teen USA pageant. The pageant was directed by Premier Pageants from 2001 to 2010, before becoming part of Greenwood Productions in 2010 under the ownership of Miss Tennessee USA 1989 Kim Greenwood. Mississippi has had two Miss Teen USA placements as of 2010. Miss Utah Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Utah in the Miss Teen USA pageant. From 2001 to 2007, the pageant was produced by Red Curtain Productions. Casting Crowns Productions directed the pageant from 2007 to 2018 under the directorship of former Miss Missouri USA Britt Boyse. Smoak Productions became the new director for Miss and Teen pageants in 2019 under executive director and Miss USA 1995 Shanna Moakler. The Miss California Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of California in the Miss Teen USA pageant. It was formed in 1983. This pageant is part of the Miss USA Organization, owned by Miss USA 2008 Crystle Stewart. California is in the top five most successful states at Miss Teen USA in terms of number and value of placements. The Miss Maryland Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Maryland in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Maryland did not place at Miss Teen USA until 1992, but since then this state has been quite successful, including earning four runner-up placements, and a winner in 2010. Seven Maryland teens have gone on to win the Miss Maryland USA title, and two competed at Miss America.
