Miss Teen USA 2005
Miss Teen USA 2005, the 23rd Miss Teen USA pageant, was held on August 8, 2005, at Baton Rouge River Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Allie LaForce of Ohio was crowned by Shelley Hennig of Louisiana. Prior to the live telecast, the 51 contestants competed in a preliminary presentation show where they were judged in swimsuits and evening gowns. Scores from this judging determined the top 15 for the final competition. All the delegates were first to required to win their state pageant, which in some states also meant holding a local title. Alexandra Leigh LaForce (born December 11, 1988) is an American journalist, model, and beauty pageant titleholder. She is a reporter for Turner Sports, covering the ''NBA on TNT''. She was previously the lead reporter for SEC college football games, a courtside reporter for college basketball games, and the host of ''We Need to Talk'' on the CBS Sports Network. LaForce also worked as a broadcast sports anchor and reporter for the Cleveland, Ohio, FOX affiliate WJW. The Miss Kentucky Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Kentucky in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Miss Alaska Teen USA is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alaska in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner. The pageant is part of the Miss Universe Organization which also holds the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
