Miss South Africa 2019
Miss South Africa 2019 was the 61st edition of the Miss South Africa pageant. It was held on 9 August 2019 at Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria, Gauteng. Tamaryn Green of Western Cape crowned her successor Zozibini Tunzi of Eastern Cape at the end of the event. Tunzi represented South Africa in Miss Universe 2019 and was crowned Miss Universe while 1st Runner-Up Sasha-Lee Olivier represented the country in Miss World 2019. Olivier assumed the title of Miss South Africa 2019 due to Tunzi winning the Miss Universe title. Puteri Indonesia 2020
Puteri Indonesia 2020, the 24th Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on 6 March 2020 at Jakarta Convention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia. Frederika Alexis Cull, Puteri Indonesia 2019, crowned her successor, Raden Roro Ayu Maulida Putri of East Java at the end of the event. She represented Indonesia at Miss Universe 2020, where she placed among the Top 20 finalists. Jolene Marie Rotinsulu of North Sulawesi, Puteri Indonesia Lingkungan 2019, and Jesica Fitriana of West Java, Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata 2019, crowned their successors, Putu Ayu Saraswati of Bali and Jihane Almira Chedid of Central Java. Saraswati decided to not compete at Miss International 2022, while Chedid placed in the Top 12 Miss Supranational 2021. Miss South Africa
Miss South Africa is a national beauty pageant in South Africa that selects South African representatives to compete in two of the Big Four international beauty pageants, Miss World and Miss Universe, and also selects another representative to participate in minor international pageant Miss Supranational. The Miss South Africa organisation resorted to a contemporary format in selecting representatives which was inaugurated in 2018. Following their newer method, both a Miss World South Africa and a Miss Universe South Africa were selected as representatives. Randpark Ridge is an upmarket suburb of Randburg, South Africa. It is located in the Randburg region (region C) of the City of Johannesburg. It fell into the town of Randburg during the apartheid era. Nyanga is a township in the Western Cape, South Africa. Its name in Xhosa means "moon" and it is one of the oldest black townships in Cape Town. It was established as a result of the migrant labour system. In 1948 black migrants were forced to settle in Nyanga as Langa had become too small. Nyanga was one of the poorest places in Cape Town and is still is one of the most dangerous parts of Cape Town. Miss World 2019, the 69th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 14 December 2019 at the ExCeL London in London, United Kingdom. Vanessa Ponce of Mexico crowned her successor Toni-Ann Singh of Jamaica at the end of the event. Background Location and date The official announcement was made on 19 February 2019, in Bangkok, by Miss World President Julia Morley, CEO Tanawat Wansom of TW Pageants, and guest Ashwani Kumar Rai. Miss Universe 2019 was the 68th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Stage 1 of the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, United States on 8 December 2019.
