Miss Rwanda 2016
Miss Rwanda 2016, the sixth edition of the Miss Rwanda pageant, was held on February 27, 2016 at Camp Kigali Grounds in the province of Kigali. The winner, Jolly Mutesi succeeded Doriane Kundwa, Miss Rwanda 2015. She entered Miss World 2016 but she did not place. This is the first time Rwanda has competed in the Miss World contest. The first runner up, Peace Ndaruhutse Kwizera, won the title of Miss Naiades 2016. Miss Heritage Rwanda, Jane Mutoni, has finished 1st runner-up at Miss Heritage Global 2016.. Western Province ( rw, Intara y'Iburengerazuba; french: Province de l'Ouest; nl, West-provincie) is one of Rwanda's five provinces. Eastern Province ( rw, Intara y'Iburasirazuba; french: Province de l'Est; nl, Oostelijke Provincie) is the largest, the most populous and the least densely populated of Rwanda's five provinces. It was created in early January 2006 as part of a government decentralization program that re-organized the country's local government structures. Miss World 2016, the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on December 18, 2016 at the MGM National Harbor, Oxon Hill, Maryland, United States. 117 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Mireia Lalaguna of Spain crowned her successor Stephanie Del Valle of Puerto Rico at the end of the event. It was the second time that the Miss World pageant held in the United States. It was the second time where Puerto Rico won Miss World, after Wilnelia Merced in 1975. Miss World
Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Miss Rwanda 2014, the fourth edition of the Miss Rwanda pageant, was held on February 22, 2014 at Petit Stade of Remera in the province of Kigali. The winner, Colombe Akiwacu succeeded Aurore Mutesi Kayiranga, Miss Rwanda 2012. Colombe participated in Miss Supranational 2016 the third competition of beauty pageant all over the world, where she was ranked 17th among 75 countries. The first best ranking of Rwanda since its entry in this competition. Colombe is currently based in Paris where she is doing her career as a fashion model. Miss Heritage Global formerly known as ''Miss Heritage World'' is an international beauty pageant, that stands for advancing World Heritage. The pageant was founded in Zimbabwean Country Branding Expert by Tare Munzara.
