Miss Peru 2016
The Miss Peru 2016 pageant was held on the night of April 23rd, 2016. This national beauty contest inaugurated the brand new Ecological Center Studios of America Television in Pachacamac, Lima, Peru, after weeks of events. The outgoing titleholder, Laura Spoya of Lima crowned her successor, Valeria Piazza of Lima at the end of the event. The crowning featured the assistance of special guest Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines who also judged during the final telecast. Piazza represented Peru at Miss Universe 2016 where she successfully placed in the final. The first and second runners-up were also crowned, as Prissila Howard and Danea Panta represented Peru at the Miss Grand International 2016 and Miss International 2016 pageants, respectively. Valeria Piazza
Valeria Piazza Vásquez (born 8 December 1989) is a Peruvian social communicator, model, and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Peru 2016 and represented Peru at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant where she was a semifinalist. Early life Piazza born in Lima, the capital city of Peru on 8 December 1989. She graduated with a degree in communications from the University of Lima. As of 2019, she currently works for Peruvian national broadcaster América Televisión. Pageantry Her journey began with modeling from a young age and that transcended to the international level. She participated at Miss Model of the World 2014, where she finished as a finalist and at Tropic Beauty of the World 2015 where she placed as the 1st Runner-up. Miss World 2004
Miss World 2004, the 54th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 4 December 2004 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. The 2004 pageant marks the second straight year that Sanya played host of the pageant. Rosanna Davison of Ireland crowned her successor María Julia Mantilla of Peru. 107 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown marking at that time, the biggest turnout in the pageant's 54-year history. Danea Juanita Panta Vargas (born March 26, 1991) is a Peruvian beauty pageant titleholder who represented Peru at the Miss International 2016 pageant. She won the only edition of Peru’s Next Top Model in 2013. She also won Miss Emerald Pageant 2020 in July this year.
