Miss Nicaragua 2005
The Miss Nicaragua 2005 pageant, was held on March 5, 2005 in Managua, after several weeks of events. At the conclusion of the final night of competition, Daniela Clerk from Managua won the title. She represented Nicaragua at Miss Universe 2005 held in Thailand later that year. The rest of the finalists would enter different pageants. Carazo Department
Carazo () is a department in Nicaragua. It covers an area of 1,081 km2 and has a population of 198,395 (2021 estimate). The capital is Jinotepe. Geography Much of the department consists of a large plain sloping gently down towards the Pacific Ocean. The main urban centres are Diriamba and Jinotepe in the interior. The adjoining departments are Managua, Masaya, Granada and Rivas. The climate is tropical with the temperature varying between 28 and 32 °C (82 and 90 °F). The hottest months are April and May. The rain falls mainly between May and October and the rest of the year is dry. Economy and tourism The inland part of the department produces a variety of agricultural crops including high quality coffee and near the ocean the subtropical climate suits citrus trees and sugar cane. Shantall Lacayo
Shantall Lacayo (born May 4, 1984) is a Nicaraguan fashion designer. She is known for being a contestant on '' Project Runway Latin America'' and '' Project Runway'', as well as for her design company and fashion shows. Early life Lacayo was born in Managua, Nicaragua on May 4, 1984. She began working as a fashion designer at the age of 17. In 2003, she attended U.A.M. for marketing and publicity, finishing her studies in 2008. She subsequently moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina to continue studying design and fabrics technology at Escuela Argentina de Moda. Career In 2009, Lacayo opened her first studio in San Telmo, Buenos Aires. Margarita Pasos (TV Host)
Margarita Pasos (born December 28, 1972) is a Colombian Speaker, journalist and motivational speaker. Career Pasos was born in Medellin, Colombia. She later moved to Miami to finish her university studies. Later on Pasos moved to Nicaragua to pursue a career in television. In 2001, she hosted her talk show ''Margarita te voy a contar''. Her talk show originally aired on Nicaraguan television, on Canal 10, but it became syndicated and aired in the United States and the rest of Latin America. ''Margarita te voy a contar'' started airing in the United States on La Familia Cosmovision. After her show ''Margarita te voy a contar'' ended in 2013, she became a motivational speaker and worked with veteran motivational speaker Brian Tracy. Tipitapa
Tipitapa is a city and Municipalities of Nicaragua, municipality in the Managua (department), Managua Departments of Nicaragua, department of western Nicaragua. The area is located between Lake Managua and Lake Nicaragua. History Tipitapa began as a settlement of local tribes. The first settlers were the Chorotegas, who populated central Nicaragua and especially the location between two lakes. Rivas () is a city and municipality in southwestern Nicaragua on the Isthmus of the same name. The city proper is the capital of the Department of Rivas and administrative centre for the surrounding municipality of the same name.
