Miss Grand Paraguay 2023
Miss Grand Paraguay 2023 was the 6th edition of the Miss Grand Paraguay pageant, held on April 2, 2023, at the Paseo Events Center, Asunción. Candidates chosen through either the regional pageants or national preliminary casting competed for the title. Maelia Salcines of the Paraguayan Community in USA was crowned by Miss Grand Paraguay 2022, Agatha Leon of Ciudad del Este, and gained the right to represent the country at Miss Grand International 2023, to be held in Vietnam on October 25. On the other hand, Sharon Capó of Amambay was crowned Miss Grand Paraguay 2024, and will eventually represent the country at the 2024 edition. Additionally, Fabiola Martínez of Villarrica was crowned Miss Supranational Paraguay 2023 and has earned the right to represent Paraguay at Miss Supranational 2023, to be held in Poland on July 14. Itauguá
Itauguá () is a city of the Central Department, Paraguay. Founded in 1728, it is known by its peculiar art of the ñandutí and its music. The San Rafael Museum shows various objects from the Colonial Age. The National Hospital, one of the most important health institutions, is located in Itauguá. Itauguá is about 30 kilometers away from Asunción. It was founded by Governor Martín de Barúa on June 27, 1728. History and Toponymy The architecture of the Colonial Age is still visible in the center of the city. Its name is related to the Ytay stream, that flows through the land. Amambay () is a department in Paraguay. The capital is Pedro Juan Caballero. The name comes from the name of a part of the Caaguazú Cordillera, " Amambai Mountains". Amambay is the name of a fern, typical of the forest in the region. Miss Grand International 2023 was the eleventh edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, held on October 25, 2023 at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. At the end of the event, Isabella Menin of Brazil crowned Luciana Fuster of Peru as Miss Grand International 2023, marking the country's second victory in the pageant's history. Contestants from sixty-nine countries and territories competed in this year's pageant. Miss Grand Paraguay 2022 is the fifth edition of the Miss Grand Paraguay beauty contest, held at in Asunción on 7 May 2022, and was beamed live to a virtual audience worldwide via the pageant YouTube channel named MGM Producciones as well as the national digital television network Unicanal. Seventeen candidates competed for the national title, of which, Agatha Leon of Ciudad del Este was announced the winner and crowned by Jimena Sosa, Miss Grand Paraguay 2021.
