Miss Grand Dominican Republic ( es, Miss Grand República Dominicana) is a female national beauty pageant in the Dominican Republic, founded in 2016 by a Dominican American business person, Chantel Martinez, with the aim of selecting a country representative to participate in its parent pageant, Miss Grand International. After Chantel Martinez ended the partnership with the Miss Grand International in 2019, the competition franchise was taken over by different local organizers, such as the Iconic Model Search Inc. of Joe Amhed (2022) and Misses of Dominican Republic-related personels (2019–2021, 2023). Miss Grand United States 2017
Miss Grand United States 2017 was the second edition of the Miss Grand United States pageant, held on July 25, 2017, at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia, Symphony Space, New York City. Contestants from seventeen U.S. states competed for the title, of whom the representative of California, Taylor Kessler, was announced the winner. She then represented the United States at Miss Grand International 2017 in Vietnam, but did not qualify to the top 10 finalists. In addition to the main winner, the first runner-up, Brianna Key, was later appointed as Miss Grand United States Virgin Islands 2017 to compete internationally in Vietnam but also received a non-placement. La Vega () is a province of the Dominican Republic. Until 1992 it included what is now Monseñor Nouel province.
