Miss France 2023 was the 93rd edition of the Miss France pageant. The competition was held on 17 December 2022 at M.A.CH 36 in Châteauroux, Centre-Val de Loire. Diane Leyre of Île-de-France crowned Indira Ampiot of Guadeloupe as her successor at the end of the event. The 2023 edition marked the first year that Cindy Fabre had overseen Miss France as its national director, taking over from Sylvie Tellier, whom had served in the position since 2007. Background Location In May 2022, it was announced that Miss France 2023 was scheduled to be held at M.A.CH 36 in Châteauroux, Centre-Val de Loire in December 2022. This marked the second time the city hosted the competition, following Miss France 2018. Indira Ampiot
Indira Ampiot (born 19 September 2004) is a French model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss France 2023. She had previously been crowned Miss Guadeloupe 2022 and Miss Basse-Terre 2022, and is the fourth woman from Guadeloupe to win Miss France. Early life and education Ampiot was born in Basse-Terre, in the overseas region of Guadeloupe, on 19 September 2004, to parents Didier Ampiot and Béatrice Téjou. She is of Indian origin through her maternal grandfather. Her father owns a communications and marketing agency, while her mother works in the social security sector. Diane Leyre (born 10 July 1997) is a French model, radio personality, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss France 2022. She had previously been crowned Miss Île-de-France 2021 and Miss Paris 2021, and is the sixteenth woman from Île-de-France to win Miss France. Since August 2022, Leyre has been a cohost on the Virgin Radio daily morning show ''Le Morning sans filtre'', with Guillaume Genton and Fabien Delettres. Miss France 2020 was the 90th edition of the Miss France pageant, held on 14 December 2019 at the Le Dôme de Marseille in Marseille. Vaimalama Chaves of Tahiti crowned her successor Clémence Botino of Guadeloupe by the end of the event. She represented France at Miss Universe 2021, placing in the top 10. Miss France 2016 was the 86th Miss France pageant, held in Lille on 19 December 2015. Miss France 2015, Camille Cerf crowned her successor Iris Mittenaere at the end of the event. This was the third back-to-back in Miss France history after 1948-1950 and 1989-1990. Mittenaere represented France at Miss Universe 2016, where she was crowned the winner. Miss France 2021 was the 91st edition of the Miss France pageant. The competition was held on 19 December 2020 at Puy du Fou in Les Epesses, Pays de la Loire. Clémence Botino of Guadeloupe crowned Amandine Petit of Normandy as her successor at the end of the event. Petit represented France at Miss Universe 2020.
