Miss Earth United States 2016
Miss Earth United States 2016 is the 12th edition of Miss Earth United States pageant that was held at Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall in Alexandria, Virginia. Brittany Payne of California crowned her successor Corrin Stellakis of New York as Miss Earth United States 2016. Stellakis represented the United States in the Miss Earth 2016 pageant in the Philippines. The pageant was the 1st edition under US Earth Productions headed by the new national director, Laura Clark. The pageant held its pre-pageant activities in Washington, D.C. prior to the crowning event. The crowning moment became popular due to a wardrobe malfunction and the oversized crown. Video of the crowning has reached over 18 million views. Miss United States is a pageant held in the United States for unmarried women between the ages of 20-29. Beauty For A Cause
Beauty for a Cause is the slogan of the Miss Earth beauty pageant adopted since the pageant's inception in 2001. It empowers the contestants to work with an environmental advocacy that is personally significant to them. The first Beauty for a Cause prize was awarded in 2003. Advocacy The connotation that all pageant contestants advocates world peace is a stereotype that is no longer true and having a platform is a part of the competition. Since many women around the world admire and aspire to be a beauty queen, Carousel Productions believed beauty queens would be an effective advocate of worthy causes. Miss Earth 2013, the 13th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on December 7, 2013 at the Versailles Palace in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. Alyz Sabimar Henrich Ocando (born October 19, 1991) is a Venezuelan model, environmentalist, humanitarian advocate and beauty queen. She represented Falcón state at Miss Venezuela 2012 pageant where she was crowned Miss Venezuela Earth. On December 7, Henrich was crowned Miss Earth 2013 in the Philippines. The Miss New Hampshire USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of New Hampshire in the Miss USA pageant. It was directed by The Clemente Organization based in Malden, Massachusetts from 2013 to 2019. GDB Theatre and Pageant Productions became the new directors for the event starting from 2020 competition. New Hampshire has had little success at Miss USA that was not yet placed until 1962, the fifth-to-last state has made its ever placement, and has only placed five times. Miss Earth 2018, the 18th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, with the theme "Goddesses of the Earth", was held on November 3, 2018, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines. Karen Ibasco of the Philippines crowned her successor Nguyễn Phương Khánh of Vietnam at the end of the event. This is the first time Vietnam won the Miss Earth pageant, one of the Big Four international beauty pageants.
