The chosen winner will represent the Dominican Republic at the Miss Universe 2008. The first runner up will enter in Reina Hispanoamericana 2008. Marianne Cruz
Marianne Cruz González (born April 23, 1985 in Salcedo, Hermanas Mirabal, Salcedo) is a Dominican news presenter, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Dominican Republic 2008 and represented her country at Miss Universe 2008. Personal life Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Marianne is the youngest of three sisters. Her parents were divorced when she was young. At the age of 16, Cruz began mountain climbing. She has climbed the highest elevation of the West Indies, The Pico Duarte, in Dominican Republic. Cruz is studying fashion design at Santo Domingo, and is the voice of many charity campaigns in Dominican Republic. Bonao is a city in the Cibao region of Dominican Republic. It is the capital of the Monseñor Nouel Province, Monseñor Nouel province. La Romana is a municipality and capital of the southeastern province of La Romana, opposite Catalina Island. Salcedo, Dominican Republic
Salcedo is the capital city of the Hermanas Mirabal Province in the Dominican Republic. It is the birthplace of the Dominican heroines, the Mirabal sisters, who died in the struggle against the dictator Rafael Trujillo. Moca is the capital of Espaillat province in the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic, and is the tenth-largest city of the country with a population of 173,442 inhabitants.
