Miss Derringer
Miss Derringer is an American, Los Angeles based pop/underground rock band, fronted by singer Elizabeth McGrath and her husband/songwriter Morgan Slade. Rounding out the band's current lineup are Sylvain de Muizon (bass), Cody James (drums) and Ben Shields (lead guitar). Miss Derringer, although it sounds like a singer or a single person, is a complete band. Miss Derringer is influenced by American music of the late 1950s and early 1960s–particularly the vintage sounds of outlaw country and early 1960s girl group pop. On their debut album, King James, some of the all star players in the band were Jula Bell (ex-Bobsled and Bulimia Banquet) on autoharp and background vox, Jeremy Szuder (Los Cincos) on drums, and Mark Miller (Skeetertruck) on guitar. Derek Shawn O'Brien is an American drummer and producer. The Fullerton, California-born O'Brien started his career while still at Fullerton High School (playing with the school Jazz Band, Marching Band and Orchestras led by Ron Perry) and played in Rock cover bands by night with Guitarists Stan De Witt and Frank Agnew. Career While still in High School, he joined local punk rock band Social Distortion and was considered to be the group's first real and consistent drummer (1981–84). His recordings with the band include the first EP "1945", Single ("Playpen"), BYO Compilation song "(Mass Hysteria)", and first full-length album '' Mommy's Little Monster''. Triple X Records was a Los Angeles-based record company started by three former employees of the bankrupt Greenworld Distribution: Dean Naleway, Peter Heur and Charley Brown. The Mondrian Hotel is a boutique hotel owned and/or operated by SBE Entertainment Group, located in West Hollywood, California. History The structure was built in 1959 as an apartment building. It was later renovated and reopened in 1985 as the Le Mondrian by the L'Ermitage Hotel Group. All Systems Go! was a Canadian punk rock supergroup with members from Big Drill Car, Doughboys, the Asexuals The Carnations, Descendents, C'mon and The Weakerthans. History The band was formed after Mark Arnold and Frank Daly's previous band Big Drill Car broke up in 1995, and John Kastner and Peter Arsenault's previous band, the Doughboys, broke up in 1996. Kastner and Arnold were long-time friends from Montreal who decided it was time to play together; they moved to Toronto, and recruited drummer Matt Taylor and singer to round out the group. Doughboys were a Canadian alternative rock band founded in 1987 that were active in the late 1980s and early/mid-1990s. The band was renowned for its musical blend of punk and pop-style melodies. Early years The band was formed in Montreal by John Kastner in 1987 following his departure from the Asexuals. That year the Doughboys released their debut album ''Whatever'' on the Pipeline Records label. In 1996 and 2000 '' Chart'' magazine ranked ''Whatever'' as the 28th greatest Canadian album of all time. Throughout their existence the band was characterized by frequent lineup changes. The Adolescents
The Adolescents are an American punk rock band formed in Fullerton, California in 1980. Part of the hardcore punk movement in southern California in the early 1980s, they were one of the main punk acts to emerge from Orange County, along with their peers in Agent Orange and Social Distortion. Founding bassist Steve Soto was the sole constant member of the band since its inception until his 2018 death, with singer Tony Reflex being in the group for all but one album. During the 1980s the band went through several lineup changes, breakups, and reunions, most involving drummer Casey Royer and guitarist brothers Rikk, Frank, and Alfie Agnew. Social Distortion
Social Distortion is an American punk rock band formed in 1978 in Fullerton, California. The band currently consists of Mike Ness (lead vocals, lead guitar), Jonny Wickersham (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Brent Harding (bass, backing vocals), David Hidalgo Jr. (drums), and David Kalish (keyboards). Starting as a hardcore punk band in the late 1970s to the early 1980s, Social Distortion went on a temporary hiatus in the mid-1980s, due to Ness's drug addiction and troubles with the law which resulted in extended stints in various rehabilitation centers that lasted for two years. Following their reformation, the band has shifted its style to a country, blues and early rock and roll-influenced style of punk.
